Oh, they care. They just started their own forum to talk about it. Guess you didn't get the e-mail, huh?

That's the ultimate compliment, IMO.
It is a compliment. Anyone that says that they are total possession team at this age is a little off the hinges. I never said it was bad soccer; they play to their strengths.
Any team that does not get pressured can look like a team that can play, but how many teams will play out of the back and though the midfield every time....NONE.
look in my opinion, here are the teams that play well and to their strengths.
DTS- Obviously ponies can't run with thoroughbreds.
LP Elite
Kicks both teams
Sting West JD
Stng West Bean
Fever United
Again this is based on my opinion and not meant to offend anyone.

No one said anyone was total possession. Just a possession style team and good at it.hetlevenisvoetbal wrote:Sho'Nuff wrote:hetlevenisvoetbal wrote:they are a mixture of possession and direct.

As far as the teams you listed as being good at the style they play, they def are. A few of them are really good at kicking it out of bounds.

I disagree, kicks is very direct. Based on what I saw today and a couple of games ago, they are a mixture of possession and direct, I would say 70 percent direct and 30 percent possession. Look no one blames them, they are athletic and individually skilled but not too technical. I don't take anything away from them but they are far from a team that is tiki taka style of play.
Maybe, LP elite pressured high and they did not look as comfortable as they did against my nieces team. I just honestly do not think that they are the least direct. I think there are three or four teams more possession oriented than Kicks and yes I believe the others are about 89.33333333 percent direct ( ). Don't mean to ruffle feathers. We have to remind ourselves that you have about three or four coaches in this league that are really developmental coaches and I think JM is one of the four. It's a must win league or loose your team league and Kicks plays to their strengths with a mixture of long balls and possession.

Then I guess I am confused because I said Kicks were the least direct of the teams and you just affirmed that with your math. Yet you are saying you disagree. Unless I completely misread that, you just said Kicks was about 70% direct and every one else was 89.33333333%.hetlevenisvoetbal wrote:KeeperCommander wrote:Obviously you are entitled to your opinion but if they are very direct (70%) then does that make the other teams 90% direct?hetlevenisvoetbal wrote:KeeperCommander wrote:I think they play somewhat similar styles. This just seems like a bit of a misunderstanding. Perhaps you were just at the wrong field, watching the wrong game. That makes more sense than the observation you have given.

Wow that is much higher than I thought it would be too. FCD Red usually starts kicking it into the stands way before it gets that bad.Pele98 wrote:SWINGIT!! wrote:soccerphun wrote:Does anyone know any of the JDL scores from today?

Sting Parsons and Hig, well maybe all the good teams are not as good as they once were.
But then again no one keeps these scores so they do not exist, much like 4-4-2's common sense.

I could not begin to tell you. They play in a secret league that doesn't post scores or keep standings, nobody talks about it, and I am pretty sure the league is a secret CIA operation started back in the 60's.lulu22 wrote:KeeperCommander wrote:Wow that is much higher than I thought it would be too. Neither. Outside of DTS and Solar Colvin, the "development" experience for most of the JDL teams appears to be a joke so far. All of the #2 JDL teams would rank 10-15 at best in LHD1 this Fall (see and compare all scores for DT Central 05...#2 Texans JDL team currently in 16th place in LHD1). JDL #1 teams FCD Red and Sting Higgy would struggle to crack top 5 in LHD1. While DTS has solidly beaten almost all teams in LHD1, the 5 goal margin of victory over FCDR (6-1) has only been replicated this Fall so far in LHD1 by DTS over the #15, #18 and #19 ranked teams. All other games have had a margin inside a 5 goal difference. Just saying....

Hmmm...Maybe. I agree with most of that. The statement that FCD Red would not be a top 5 team?? Very sketchy. I believe they would definitely be top 5. Where I do not know. Ahead of Fever? All day, every day. Liverpool? Uh maybe. They can't beat DTS but they have tied and beat Kicks.Don Draper wrote:lulu22 wrote:KeeperCommander wrote:Wow that is much higher than I thought it would be too. Using DT Central as your baseline is a joke. So, too, is using an apparently odd result against FCD Red. DT Central is losing JDL games by at least 3 on a regular basis. Of the other JDL teams with common games/opponents, I would suggest that only Kicks Selacao and LP Elite routinely beat some of the JDL teams. Fever might scratch out an occasional win. Sting West and Grey are good, but you are suggesting they are better than Hig and Parsons who just tied.

Re: 05G Games of the Week (Oct 22/23)
I'm a stats and scores kind of guy. Using DT Central as a JDL#2 team barometer is definitely spot on when comparing all the JDL#2 teams. DT Central currently sits #16 in LHD1 with 2 wins and 6 losses. Other than their win over #7 Solar Byars 3-0 (perhaps a little CPP help?), the rest of their record is very unimpressive. For their other 7 LH games, they have scored only 3 goals and given up 12 goals. Their only additional win this Fall in LH came against #20 Revolution. How JDL teams #2 or even #1 compete against DTC can definitely be measured and compared to LHGCL level of play.
As for Kicks Selecao and LP Elite, I believe they each easily beat all JDL #2 teams. Also probably beat FCD Red and Sting Higgy most times. Solar Colvin probably a step stronger. DT South is king.

You miss my point. DT Central is far below the other "JDL#2 teams," to the extent you can even differentiate them with any accuracy. DT Central's losses are far worse in JDL than in LH. And Pulp beat Colvin, right? Yet, you assume Colvin is No. 1 Solar. So who are the JDL#2 teams?

DTS central
FCD Blue
Solar Colvin
Sting Parsons
as the #2's. Just based off of a little knowledge and some hear say.
