North Texas, Oklahoma and South Texas G04 Youth Soccer Rankings - April 10th, 2017
These are the North Texas, Oklahoma and South Texas Girls 2004 Birth Year rankings as calculated by Excel Solver using a best fit algorithm to match up team strength ratings with actual tournament and league play results.   Rankings for the teams that have a higher sample size are fairly stablized. Teams move up in the rankings by beating a team by more than predicted (by Solver) or losing by less than expected. Teams with smaller sample sizes of games can also move up or down based off of the strength of schedule of teams they have played in the past improving.

This is all kooky, unless it reinforces where you believe your dd's team should be. Waste of time. Kind of like reading a big ern post. Fake news.

Waste of time if you hate math and what-if analysis, but I enjoy this stuff.   Anyway, algorithm's don't lie.  They only predict and no they don't favor any team other than the one that wins by more than it predicts.  So thank you for your input, it has been noted.

Who really gives a flip about Oklahoma, South Texas, Kansas. How often do NTX teams play them? Certainly not enough that they should be included in a "local" ranking. Or is this supposed to be a national ranking? If so, were is SoCal and Colorado? Didn't teams from areas play Vegas Cup? Was it not the intent of this to see were your DDs team stated up against competition she has or will play on a regular basis? Not teams they might see once or twice a year. 168 teams, INSANE!!! Hell it's all insane.

Great Suggestion, who gives a flip about Oklahoma, South Texas or Kansas for that matter...

And to clarify I only included other locations if they played in a tournament in North Texas, Oklahoma or South Texas(The bigger ones I heard about), if NTX teams went to other locations to play I didn't include those games unless they were against teams from this ranking otherwise it would just snowball more than it already had to this point...

And one other point the main objective/usage for this ranking was meant to help local tournament directors with seed tournaments, which I am extremely confident that this will help them for this age group.

Here are your North Texas ONLY Rankings for April 10th!

So if it's to help "LOCAL" tournament directors, why include Kansas, STX or Oklahoma. Teams from those areas don't come here weekly to play in local tournaments. They only come for PLD or the DIGC. They ain't coming for the Shawnee Trail or the Carey Invitational or the Cowtown. I could be wrong, but I doubt a local director is looking at this, if he even looks at all, and says "NTX Team A is ranked 10 spots lower than Kansas Team C so they go to the bronze bracket".

Finally found a use for this list.  I can show my DD the negative effects of moving to a team where she can play and have fun.  Absolutely nothing!  Just some lines on spreadsheet.
