North Texas, Oklahoma and South Texas G04 Youth Soccer Rankings - October 10th, 2016
These are the North Texas, Oklahoma and South Texas Girls 2004 Birth Year rankings as calculated by Excel Solver using a best fit algorithm to match up team strength ratings with actual tournament and league play results.   Rankings for the teams that have a higher sample size are starting to get stable. Teams move up in the rankings by beating a team by more than predicted (by Solver) or losing by less than expected. Teams with smaller sample sizes of games can also move up or down based off of the strength of schedule of teams they have played in the past improving.

On a side note have you ever looked at the south Texas leagues. Wow, it is a mess.

Post those JDL scores from Saturday.  There were a couple of good ones this week that deserve a little commentary.

Age pure and JDL has killed the forum.  Based on PMs, the crazy NTX soccer parent still cares.  He and she are just keeping it within small circles for some reason.

It is hard to drum up conversation on your own.

What do you want to know? I saw the second half of the FCD Red vs FCD Blue game. It was an entertaining game. The game was back and forth and both teams had chances. I thought both teams were impressive to watch. From what I could gather, LW wasn't really coaching either team. If you're suggesting that Red took it easy on Blue, that wasn't the case at all from what I saw.

I saw the game.  There was a time when people would discuss what happened.  That doesn't happen anymore.  To me that was a surprising result given how FCD Red has crushed most of their opponents and has looked like the team atop the 04 pile.  Maybe expecting any talk about a game involving 2 teams from the same club and in a league where no one keeps score is asking too much.

I hope we get some talk next week tho after the FCD Red game against Solar Pulpaneck.  They look to be the top teams.

Don't hold your breath for that to happen....unfortunately the writing is on the wall.
Its a dying interest (bickering on the forum).

The DTS v Solar match didn't get any discussion and there was plenty to talk about that went on that particular game.

Might as well put up a "for lease" sign up on this building. Board up the windows to prevent vandalism or potential squatters.

The two teams know each other very well -- Since June, they've faced each other a dozen or so times.  Last weekend, and even at PLD in the semi, LW used at least half of the game to expose the girls to different tactical formations regardless of how the match is going.  Can't take anything away from Blue though ... they are potent on the attack and take advantage of mistakes efficiently.  

This Sunday's match should be a good one --

Rankings will change. Just 4-5 NTX teams from ECNL , OK team plus 3 teams from STX will be my top 8.
Some of the 04-05 combo teams will disappear in next year or so. Not arguing the work you put in.

So ... This game was supposed to be played on Sunday, but no refs. Rescheduled for last night -- Got in an entertaining 15 minutes with both teams squandering chances before the lightning called it. Will be fun to watch when they finally do meet again. In the mean time, there will be some great action up in Tulsa this weekend with TXN battling top teams from TXS, OK, and CO.

To me....last night left me with no closure, lightning sucks but probably not as much as being struck by it. Was definitely the most entertaining game of the season thus far and a pretty good atmosphere playing under the lights and watching both squads give "tournament final" efforts. But yes, Tulsa should get the job done this weekend.
