License Database?

Is there some source to determine what license a coach holds?

By the look of it, not on line. Guess you could call US Soccer.

Yea, I couldn't find anything either, but from what I can decipher, the call should be placed to North Texas Soccer instead.

Been wanting to ask the same question, but I am sure if pressed, a call to US Soccer / North Texas Soccer will help, however, what I have been intrigued about is how we can validate when a coach states that they hold a "FIFA" License or a UEFA "A", UEFA "B" license. Without getting into license equivalencies (US vs FIFA / UEFA). Should we ask for some proof, such as a diploma similar to what it is given here in the US?

When coaches state and use their foreign credentials (FIFA license being very generic in my book), shouldn't we ask for proof? Or where it can be verified? A piece of paper can be easily fabricated now a days.

The USSF coaching certificates are printed on paper anyone can frabricate. Each certificate comes with a number that stays with the candidate through all of his courses. Simply ask for his certificate number and you should be able to verify through USSF.

I wasn't trying to start some conspiracy theory thread. Just looking for basic information from the source.

Another license question, does a DA or ECNL coach require a specific license? Or a license at all? I didn't see anything specific on their websites about coach licensing requirements.

I believe to be listed as a Head Coach for a USSDA team, there is a USSF 'B' minimum requirement

And how many of those are there in DFW? And how many of the "listed" head coaches will actually coach these teams?

From previous discussions, there seems to be very few high level coaches with USSF A or B licenses. My understanding is that you need to be in a path to obtain one of these licenses when coaching in DA. Not sure if that will ever be enforced.

In any case, it seems that it is easy to find out if your coach has X or Y license, albeit may be confrontational to obtain the registration / License number if it is required to find out from US Soccer or from North Texas. I want to know how to verify the coaches that claim to have a "FIFA" or "UEFA" License.

If these coaches use those credentials to market themselves, I think it is only fair to be able to verify them.

I think you'd be in the same situation as here. For the FA you'd have to contact the local county FA the coach claims he coached in. For a FIFA license? You could try contacting Zurich, good luck with that, or maybe the coaches country FIFA rep

It's all a moot point as everyone knows the thicker the accent the better the coach. Just trust them.

USSF "A" certifications need to be re- done every four years. $900 plus airfare. Unless you can find one local! JK, Lol. License # plus expiration date need to be checked. All other license are life time.

Honestly this is the best advice ever and should be followed by each and every parent in the soccer community.

Some of the "B" licenses I know can barely develop a Polaroid picture.

Z- so you have a G license? Those might be on paper but anything higher than C is laminated credit card.
