Okay I held the license for 10 years with one renewal before deciding not to renew.

The USSF National "C" and "B" licenses are a lifetime license, as is the National Youth license. The National "A" license must be renewed every FOUR years or the license automatically drops to a "B" license. The renewal course is upwards of $900, plus travel expenses and lodging. If the course is not renewed by taking the "A" license renewal course and the licenses expires, a candidate must take the course all over again.
