FBR 09G April 30th 2017

Rush has decided to play against '08s only in league play and tournaments. I wonder how long until FBR drops them from the '09 rankings? Isn't it after 4 months of no games?

It is a good move by them. Looks like they represented well this weekend instead of walking through the '09 division.

Agreed Granitza... I wasn't so much impressed with who they beat but how they fared in the games they lost. I think the other top 3 '09 teams are competitive against them but they will definitely be challenged more playing up. Girls develop at all different paces so it will be interesting to see if they eventually come back to their age bracket.

UPDATE: Good news... setup should be done w the software. New FBR09 is entering scores from May to present. Not sure how long that will take. I will be digging up the FBR09 login info and forwarding to new person shortly. I still have poll creation, tiers etc to cover, but we are heading in the right direction.

Interesting, FBR07... many teams haven't played many games since May, if any.

At least someone is putting together an FBR. Isn't that what many of you have been asking for like it was owed to you. Now even that isn't good enough? So now you also expect them to go back to when your child's team was still winning?

Dang. Nobody thinks FBR is owed to them. Many have offered to help. We haven't seen an update since April and it's almost September... Before April, we saw an update every 3 months or so it seemed. I think everyone has been reasonably patient and polite. The concern is that only 3 full tournaments have happened since May and only a few teams have played more than 4 games so the rankings that we have been patiently waiting for won't be accurate with limited data. But hey, at least we have something to look at, right? "You will take your FBR rankings and like it!!!"

So are you upset that you didn't get the job offer to be new fbr09 or is it that the 2 losses from this weekend might put your team lower than you want to see them?

My understanding is the last fbr was posted April 30th and the May and later games will be added to that database.  It will be up to fbr09 how far back to go.

Why are you coming at me? Do you think you know me? My daughter's team went undefeated this weekend so your assumptions about me are off base. Nobody here is mad at FBR09 and everyone is happy that a new ranking is coming out soon. Go read my old posts, I have always been grateful for the volunteers that put out the rankings. I don't understand why you are trying to create unnecessary drama on this board.

I am working with FBR09 to do this the best possible way with the data we have.  The current data goes back to Sept 16, so plenty of data.  I will advise FBR09 to delete out some data, no question.  How much?  I am not sure.  I will try to make a judgement on what seems reasonable.  Remember I have no dog in this fight.  My 07 rankings were as good as any, I'm impartial, and just want good rankings.  

If not that many games have been played(since May) I am curious why the major uproar over the delay...but doesnt matter.  I know games from May are being entered as I type, we are on the road to getting an update published.  New FBR09 has the time to stay current.  I will guide FBR09 along the way the best I know how.  FBR09 will own the work however, so please dont whine to me if your team isn't where you think it should be.  

I will stay involved with 09 until that person is comfortable with going alone.  Probably most of fall.  Then on an as needed.

Update... Good news! we have new FBR09 setup correctly... all data matches mine. The new poll is being assembled, FBR09 may still need a little bit to figure it all out because its a manual process. But, yall will have a poll soon.

No... really, he's serious this time... A new '09 FBR is imminent... seriously... it will be out soon... stay tuned to this space... maybe....
