Team / Club Info Sheets

Hello,

We have seen when visiting a few teams a Team / Club Info Sheet that informs parents all about the team and club.

We were told recently every team is supposed to have that for parents, but we have only seen it a few times. It is awesome information for parents looking for a club.

Are these supposed to be available by teams/clubs for all parents at every organized activity or just available if asked for?

@Pass, the fact sheet is required by North TX Soccer Association. There may be a couple of reasons why you haven't received one from every team.
1. The deadline to submit them to NTSA for approval is June 15th.
2. If the team doesn't register with NTSA but another association like US Club, it is not applicable.

Or it could mean that the coach has not decided yet if he wants your dd on the team. I believe most teams provide those to players that have been given offers and accepted.

The fact sheets are for every player that attends tryouts.

SoccerDad, I was not trying to be rude or personal. Just stating what I have been told in the past. Of course our experience may not be same as others so I get that. I just know that the teams we've played for in the past did not give out info sheets to every family that happened to pop into a open practice session during May/June. Just too many folks in and out trying out multiple teams. That and some teams do not complete their info sheets till near mid June anyway trying to finalize tournaments and costs etc.

Don't know such thing exist. Is it part of the contract when we sign with the club?

TMD theoretically, if your team is registered with North Texas Soccer Association, you should receive it the first day your daughter appears at tryouts. However, the deadline for teams to submit their Fact Sheet to NTSA for approval is June 15th so it may not be available before then. Sometimes, teams will just hand them out in conjunction with the contract.

My DD has played club for about 6 years and I don't recall EVER seeing one.

If your DD has played select in NTX in LHGCL, PPL, or APL, when your team manager registers the team with NTSSA, one of the documents he/she has to provide at the time of registration is a signature sheet, signed by every player and at least 1 parent/guardian of each player, that states they received a copy of the Club/Team Fact sheet before signing their contract. It's only required if you register under North Texas Soccer. The information is very generic. It's stuff you should know before signing your contract anyway, things like practice information (locations, dates and times), approximate cost (included/not included), coaches license.

Per the Fact Sheet instruction page:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Every player participating in competitive/select soccer must be given full disclosure of certain facts about prospective soccer teams and soccer clubs (including information about the coach and other people involved, the team's plans for the year, the potential financial and time commitments, etc.).  This form has been developed for this purpose.  Every Select/Competitive soccer team must thoroughly complete this form and give it to prospective players before they are extended an offer to play with the team.  This would usually be accomplished when a player first arrives at tryouts, or when contact is first made with a prospective player who is not attending tryouts.   THE INFORMATION REQUIRED ON THIS FORM IS INTENDED TO HELP THE PROSPECTIVE PLAYER AND HIS/HER PARENTS BECOME "EDUCATED CONSUMERS" DURING THEIR DECISION-MAKING PROCESS AND HOPEFULLY MAKE THE DECISION THAT IS RIGHT FOR THEM.

This is correct. It will only be given to the parents who will be signing up for the team. Kudos to the teams who are handing it out ahead of time. The only critical info on that sheet is the cost. A simple conversation with the manager will give you that information.
