Re: Plano vs Primetime
We played in both leagues as well. Field conditions for Primetime are much better. My daughter refers to Carpenter as the field with all the rocks. I keep in touch with our team manager quite a bit and know that Primetime worked their best to reschedule any conflicts vs Plano was non-negotiable. The only decided edge I can offer Plano is the consistency of always playing in 1 location.

Same for us with parent meeting in Lake Highlands a few years ago. Very condescending and we pretty much left with the impression we are just to sit back, pay our money and let the league and officials do their thing.
I will say, at least in Plano they take care of the flags for you ;-). Gotta be worth something, right?

EXACTLY! Condescending and rude! I have nothing at all postive to say about our experience in Plano, and I would not recommend them to anyone. The entire year was a beating. The fields were a joke, we have better fields at the YMCA. The main objective of the meeting was to tell us all the things we could be fined for, funny one was for parent walking across the field...I think that was because they didn't want to get sued when someone twisted their ankle in a hole.
The refs are lazy, and just didn't want to call anything. When a player on the opposing team broke her arm, there was no trainer or protocol in sight to get her the attention she needed.
If you want to move a game, it is $250 and no guarantee, I mean SERIOUSLY?! Even though we requested no games on a certain date ahead of time? Games were scheduled during tournament times like President's weekend, and there was no consideration for change, even with many weeks notice (the day the schedule came out). We had games scheduled at times on weekdays when we physically couldn't get there in time because we had players coming from Fort Worth, Kennedale and Mansfield...they knew this ahead of time, and didn't care. Other closer teams did not have games at those times.
Yep that's about it....select_newby wrote:I will say, at least in Plano they take care of the flags for you ;-). Gotta be worth something, right?

Me personally, I like to see well maintained playing fields when my DD plays.
Well said!

As do the out of state tournaments we've been to. Hard to find quality CR/AR's all over the country. Have to wonder what the ref crews are like at ECNL Nationals this week?

But there is that parent issue to and there are a lot of parent jerks out there screaming stuff they know nothing or little about. So I do get some of the resentment towards all the sideline "refs" and "coaches".

Come on now RWD. You know you yell hand ball twice a game.RightWingDad wrote:Right, what is it, $35 for a CR LH game...maybe $20 for AR? I still think they need to be able to run to get into position to see the play, 80% or more don't.

Re: Plano vs Primetime
1. better fields and location for us on the west side
2. competition is good, many teams- we had 40 teams in our age group and it was select age
3. refereeing was 10 x better
4. fields- we chose home field as Money gram- great fields
5. all games were on Saturday and they worked around us if our coach had another team.
6. all games were on the weekend so no games during the weeknights so we didn't miss practice or had to rush to make a game bc of work and traffic during the week.
7. we also had officials marshals and a trainer if we needed one
8. games were on time and we had benches to sit on, flags and nets were always up and we can also walk across the fields.
9. fees were the same or even cheaper
10. we also get a discount to all their tournaments
