All on to the second week! Texans teams showed well, USA seemed to struggle a bit after the first game. Celtic with an excellent first weekend. Gray's girls got the job done. Good luck to all in the 2nd round!

No, I will catch other teams games at tournaments, especially better ones, to compare where my daughter relates in how she plays to what could be better players.

McKinney has happened to be among the teams near where I was viewing games so seen them play too.

They can compete with anyone in D3 and probably to middle of D2.

I would not expect them to be embarrassed. Should be good close games.

Compete with most of D3 is very understandable. Middle of D2 is prob pushing it. USA strutted into a tourney with the same attitude and were sent away with a whipping by a D3 team. Now that D3 team can probably hang very well with the D2 teams and should do very well in NPL, but I digress.
I find McKinney is probably very much of the same. Will take a year or two but they will be able to compete up with the likes of the lower D1 teams. Now that LH will be a touch weaker.

Eager to see how they create the brackets for Round 2. Will they put the 2 Texans teams together due to the 2 and 3 seeds, or will they look to split them?

Per Rd1 final pts it should be the following, but I expect LH will split the Texans giving them a better shot at making it in:

Bracket A:
1 Seed: NTX Celtic
4 Seed: McKinney United
5 Seed: FCD East
8 Seed: Waco United

Bracket B:
2 Seed: Texans Mansfield
3 Seed: Texans Red
6 Seed: USA
7 Seed: Fever United

Guess we will see in a few hours.

Each bracket is very difficult. The 4 that get in will have definitely earned a spot. Should be a great second round.

Big win for Waco as well. Wasn't expecting that although I've played them a few times and they are a solid team. Like I said I'm sure they didn't lose anyone.

What is more surprising though. Waco leading bracket or McKinney in 3rd. I didn't have McK on radar as I said in previous posts. They did however finish undefeated in PPL so it would at least be surprising to someone.

Waco already secured their place back in D2 I can see them not having the motivation against USA so I can see a USA win so that takes care of that Bracket A
Texans play Texans and Fever v FCD East it's all still to play for. Stranger results have happened on the last day of QT's so good luck to all teams in Bracket B
