According to the tournament website there are 4 North Texas teams taking part in the tournament. Any of the following teams active on these boards?

Dallas Texans 05G Red Sth
Dallas Texans 05G South
D'Feeters 06 Black Hollis
Amarillo Lightning 05G

Was a fun weekend and like always, the heat wins! Here is a link to how the gold bracket shook out. Does anyone know anything about the Dallas Texans 05G South team? When you look them up on GotSoccer there is no history for the team, like it was just formed.

Well that's not really true either. Much of the team is the same. The ones that barely saw the grass are on this new team. At least for the 05's.

Gotcha... I am not completely familiar with the entire 05 ECNL team, but am sure that team at the Oklahoma tournament was not them...

Would think that it would be the same for the 04 and 03's. Can't say for sure. But i know the horses are playing in ECNL. Anyone care to wager the CPP usage against the big dogs.

05 had 6 on the bench. ENCL players played the whole game. Paying players sat on bench. Parents NOT happy.

I know this is an 05 thread, but there were several more North Texas teams at Beat the Heat:

06 Fever - Silver Champions
06 DT West Van Zamdt - played in gold - 4th in bracket
07 DT West Diaz - Played up - 06 Silver - 2nd in Bracket
07 DT South Adames -played up - 06 Silver - 3rd in Bracket
07 FCD Premier Webb - Gold Champions
08 DT West Diaz - played up, Gold Runner-up (beat FCD Premier in bracket play butost 2-1 to     them in finals)

I never thought it was the ECNL team. I figured it might have been a newly formed team or tournament team since there was no history. Does anyone know what league this DT team will play in during the fall?

Is that Lake Highlands? We are slated to play in the DT Fall Festival, trying to figure out level of play and competition we will face. Will they play their ECNL teams in that tournament? The state of OK has just a handful of what I would call top level teams in our age but our club isn't ECNL or DA so it's confusing trying to figure out what TX teams we play when we run into them in tournaments.

They inherited the #1 seed bye in Lake Highlands D1. The team that earned the bye is now ENCL.
