i suspect the Texans Pane team would have significantly more interesting data if they would play in tournament brackets with their peers. Based on their tournament choices (minus Vegas Cup) they tend to play down.

My point is validated with data.. Take out the top 4 D1 teams for the most part (I think Spirit Monk should be in top 4 mind you as it appears FC East may be augmenting their LH games with CPP) and the bottom 6 are fairly even with the top 4 maybe top 6 D2 teams.

From a D3 perspective, Glotch (once they get out of the penalty box) and maybe Liverpool Liddell on a good day can play with any of the Bottom 6 D1 and all D2 teams. Glotz can go head to head with any of the top D1 teams. Sting Black obviously is the best of the best along with TXS

My 5/6th grader is better than your 5/6th grader hahahahaha.

Call me when these kids play with a size 5 ball and can drive. Over half of those teams listed above wont even be 50% the same by U16. Waste of time and energy. Seriously though... Will sting even be a thing in 5 years? If rumors are true and Mutiny is taking the plunge, then who's next? All mid level clubs will be gone in a few years, and Sting is a mid level club... SB will be FCD Super Secret Pre Olympic DA JTP in a few years!!!

Look at recent tournaments and you will see some D2 teams have in fact beaten D1 teams.  In some instances D2 teams have beaten some Top 5 D1 teams.

not rankings.. just goal differential metrics and only used to support a theory that outside 4 maybe 5 teams, all the girls play at about the same level and we should be focused on just letting them play. It's the Cali way you know.

Just make sure you address w the coach where he will be in the fall so you don't get caught w your britches down buying a new set of scrubs for the season. The word on the street is lots of people jumping ship again for the promised land. It could change in logistics gear and costs.

For hopefully the last time. FCD East just has a good team. They were good last year, then added a couple and had a few move down from playing 05.

They have used exactly 1 CPP. It was a keeper in the game they lost to TSN.

I am so glad to join this conversation late. I'm not sure who any of you are, but obviously most of you are like ESPN analysts who just say things to sound intelligent and/or to aggravate people. ProDallas' last post is exactly correct. How are we supposed to use this site effectively if you have 4-5 jokers spending their lives confusing and muddying the waters for those who turn here for good genuine information?

I love how the list of coaches included all big names in big clubs, that probably none of you know. If any of you have ever watched sting black you would know that their coach is a complete disaster and that team is made up of girls twice the size of everyone else and all they do is play overly aggressive and bulldoze everyone...literally. The coach is a maniac. They A D-3 independent/small club team lost to them 3-0 and 2-0, and the fact checkers above want to put an asterisk next to that information, when that team is actually ranked 40th in US rankings, but just don't have the pool of girls, because they are a start up club. So if you ask me, that team's coach seems to know what he's doing if you take a rec team and make the highest division your first year as a club and play the "best" team in the country that well. All that to say, DTS is by far the better skilled team and has the better coach. Putting SB's coach in the ring for best coaches in NTX is ridiculous!

My only advice to soccerperson is all coaches have different skill-sets. Be specific in what you want and then find the right fit (i.e. if you want a screaming lunatic coach with no ability to coach skill, go with SB -Gutierrez..she is not the only one, but it drives me insane that people think she is a good coach!, if you want to actually have your child learn skills and the game properly, there are a ton of coaches that can do that for you).

You started somewhat coherent. Then you lost it. But am guessing you are an FC Fusion parent. 40th in NTX (per YSR), 492 in the country. Sorry to burst your bubble, but several of the SB 06s were playing an 05 ECNL game that weekend back in September. And check the recent DTS/SB results in big national tournaments.  I’ll wait for your response....

AG has done an incredible job with that team.

Yes I agree.   DTS rocks!

But in all seriousness.   The top teams can’t win. If the go in and beat a team 10-0 they are evil.  If they go in and win 2-0 they aren’t as good as they think they are.

To be fair..... I honestly think teams (such as Sting Black ) are player passing ....sending kids up to play ECNL etc in order to help with the overall development of individual players.

It will be interesting to see how everything shakes out this spring/summer as the 06 group transitions to DA ECNL etc....   And yet again we will have another year of CHANGE.

Build it from the back is what I say. Pay to play has its perks. AG making too much cash to jump ship and carries the flagship team unless egos get in the way and they get the DA bed bug bite.

The good coaches don't need no stinkin badges that tells the world how good they are.

Just curious about the licenses that these "better" coaches have. I know Ring and Mariscal are very qualified with B licenses, which in my opinion, stands for something. They've put in the time and can coach DA etc. I can't speak for the rest of the coaches because they do not post it on their respective website. Any one care to share or post a link of the directory?

For Real, I am not a parent of FC Fusion and have nothing to do with that club. Merely pointing out that there is more to NTX than the big clubs, but all anyone talks about is the big clubs and because they have the draw of players, the "amazing" coaches are basically "amazing" because they get they best players.

Bod, exactly what Futbal said, licenses are like youknowwhats. They do not mean crap in regards to coaching ability. The only thing licenses do is get you a better job at a higher level, and that isn't even necessary in most cases.

NTX Coaching license clinics are a joke. They make you jump through hoops to do all the curriculum, but end up giving everyone the license if you have half a brain. I know this from experience as I have gone through most of their courses.

At this age coaches at the next level suggest playing time not worried about rank. You got plenty of time to gauge what's best for your 06.

Why do you say that w/o having any idea about their DD's capabilities?

Just because they do not come on here claiming their DD is the next wonder kid does not mean they fit at a lower level team.

The fact they are asking about Coaches vs Teams at this age may be a clue.

My oldest DD has her drivers license but that doesn't mean she can drive. All you have to do is look at her car and my insurance premiums and you would you know her license doesn't mean crap
