FBR09 Rankings January 24th, 2018

Happy New Years everyone.  I hope all the parents are ready for the soccer season to begin.  

Updated 09 FBR as of 1/24/18. Only 09 teams with 3 or more games played since 08/26/17 are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in the U9 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.  

FBR09 will also include any 09 teams playing against each other in the 08 division.  As long as the teams that are playing up are not using 08 players when playing against each other 09 teams.

Also, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier(not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  As always regulation scores are used for FBR, not OT and no PKs that determine game result(if known).  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  This FBR is the sole representation of FBR09,  any and all complaints(and compliments) should be directed to FBR09.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs.

Spring kickoff results suggest an impending shakeup in the 09 landscape in spots 3 through 10...

Which team do you think had the best/most surprising showing turkey?

Not 2 - 10? Samba went 1-1-1 in the bracket games.

So did most other teams in the gold division. And they brought it when it mattered. Can't really put DTS above them after Samba eliminated them in the semis. Who else would you put above Samba? I think they are safe at #2.

Luna. I think they have been underrated for a while, partly their fault for not playing top tourneys. Looks like that's changing now. They kicked butt in Vegas too.

Good point, although I was a bit surprised they had semifinals in that division since it was so small. 2 brackets of 3 teams each with 4 of the original 6 moving on to the semifinals does not seem too common. I can't think of a team that I would put ahead of them at this point, even though last weekend's outcome suggests to me they are not totally safe in #2 spot moving into the spring.

Had FC Dallas Extreme played in the top bracket this spring, I think they would have bumped some of the top teams around. They did well at the PIT this winter.

They almost dropped one in Vegas to that '10 Samba team that had 1 sub, I watched part of it. I think they finished 3-2. Maybe 1 more season and they'll be top 5 for sure.

Agreed, especially with what Primetime did.  There will be no easy games in the top division except for maybe one possibly two tops.

Solar 09 Evans took care of business in the black bracket, hope they bump up some. Figure they will move up to the gold division for the next tournament also.

I noticed the Evans team showed well. Did they pick up some new players since fall season?

They have, 3-4 new girls and the boy's league they played in has sped up their game.

I believe the kicks played Silver in Vegas. They didn't play in Gold.

After watching a lot of soccer the past few weekends I think it is pretty safe to say the only spot that is safe is the number 1 spot...style of play matters as these girls get older

Number 1 is never safe...they aren’t dominating the boys like the old defacto number 1’s used to...i.e. RASE..SRSA

Number 1 would have to lose a few times to lose their spot

Considering #1 beat #2 by 7 or 8 goals recently...I’d say they aren’t likely going anywhere any time soon.

Lot of scenarios that could come from spring. Seriously think that teams 2-6 are within a goal here or there from each other.
