Awesome representation! I’m not sure 16-0 was necessary unless there is an unlimited goal differential tie breaker but I guess it shows how good that team is playing.

I was wondering the story behind 16 - 0 too. Rush is pretty legit though.

Group A with Rush, Slammers (2nd at Vegas) and Edmond, OK (won N. Texas tournament against stiff competition) is a tough group. The poor Nevada team is caught in the middle. Rush v Edmond this morning.

Rush wins. Except for one tie, everyone undefeated.

Dallas soccer is showing its the best in the country for the ‘09 age group... 1 loss across 4 teams through group play is impressive. 3 bracket winners and all 4 teams advancing to the gold division playoff. The 1 loss was a close 2-1 defeat to the best Cali team in the tournament. Keep it up girls!!!

Looks like 2 of 4 TX teams advanced to the semis tomorrow. Solar South and Texans had a tough draw. Shaping up to possibly be an all Texas final! Good luck!

All NTX final... Dallas Rush vs Solar Angelone

As North Texas teams we should all support each other on advancing to the next round. There was one particular Texas team cheering for another team from another state instead, what class, way to go. You know who you are. On another note all age groups for the gold supercopa girls were Texas finals.

Parents usually don't get it, especially at u-little. Players do, parents don't.

Parents from this age group are pretty nasty here at home why would that change on the road? Did said cheered against team at least win? That is usually a good way to shut someone up.

Absolutely agree. We should always support our counterparts.

Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of BS between parents, coaches and players. However, it should never have any bearing on our status against the nation. The better our teams are, the better we are as a whole.

Maybe they were just channeling their inner Landon Donovan?

Or maybe the other team gave all of the parents Swiss Army knives with tweezers?

I’m surprised to hear that. We were rooting for all the TX teams.

I know what two teams you are referring to and I think you know which daughter my team plays for and I know which team your daughter plays for. There is so much more back story to this that you are either not mentioning or simply unaware of. If you would like to discuss to truly understand the complete story feel welcomed to PM me.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again and this applies to society in general right now. People want to villify the other side instead of making the effort to understand (because I assure you the other side are not the bad people you think they are). I’m willing to hear your take in a PM if you would like to share it... I hope we can both make the effort to understand.

Not true in regards to having all Texas finals in all age groups, but that is just nitpicking.

06': Sting Dallas Black vs Solar Academy (The two best 06' teams in the tournament, both top 5 teams in the country)

07': Solar JDL Academy vs Real Colorado (Solar the clear #1 team in the country in this age group)

08': DT Scafone Samba vs D'Feeters

09': Dallas Rush Elite vs Solar Angelone (Dallas Rush clearly the best team in tournament and they really screwed the seedings up in this age group as 3 of the top 4-5 teams were in the Dallas Rush pool - mentioned above - Slammers and ESC).

Still, a very strong showing for NTX soccer.

I agree with Soccer Balls on the 09 seeding.
CDslammers for sure and probably even ESC could have made deep runs in the finals had they not all been in the same bracket.

It is great to see how well the 09 NTX girls are stacking up nationally. It's also interesting to see the current coach/club shuffle, player movement and more new teams being formed as we head into final year before select. Change will remain constant as the DDs go forward. So, hopefully we can all keep some perspective knowing that many DDs who are currently battling each other very well could become teammates in the future. Will be interesting to see how things continue to unfold...cheers!

Slammers and ESC definitely got the tough draw being in Rushs pool. Someone had to be in it though. That pool also had the worst team in the tourney in it so that helped. The tourney was trying to keep the Dallas teams out of the same pools.

Great perspective. My daughter changed teams a few months ago and it is fun to watch how teams progress. She still loves her old teammates and roots them on (except for maybe when in direct competition...lol). The soccer world seems to get smaller and smaller all the time.

ESC has lost or tied a few NTX teams. They are definitely a strong contender, but all teams that went should have been. Like Eddy said, someone had to be in Rush's bracket. Aside from the 16 point game, all scores in that bracket were pretty respectable.
