With Girls Classic limited to 30 teams and only 3 per club, there could easily be a top 20 team or two not allowed in. Draw a line at 30 on the FBR and see who will not be allowed in, assuming that is where those teams want to go. Is PrimeTime 7 v7 or 9 v 9?

And since each (apparently) division winner gets a bye into division one Girls Classic next fall, they would need to disburse the teams by ranking around each of the three divisions (3 x 10) so that, in effect, the three best teams get through. If they put the top 10 in one division, then team number 21 might get the bye out of its division with teams 21-30. If there are more than three teams in one club in the top 30 in FBR (and there are) will the club itself get any say-so in who gets in? Apparently not.

I guess you’re kind of new to this. The clubs will pick their 3 teams ????

Your team has to qualify the first year, then the clubs pick the teams with cpp and club byes every year after.

I guess I am. When the website said they would be picked by committee, I believed it. Would not want to be in that coaches meeting for those with over 3 in the top 30.

General Information:

$700 total registration fee, to be paid all in the fall. Referee fees are per game and are separate from the registration fees and are the responsibility of the team.Only (30) Girls teams will be chosen after Registration Deadline (August 1s). (LIMITED TO ONLY (3) TEAMS PER CLUB)Team acceptance will be finalized Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Teams will be selected by a LHGCL Committee.There will be up to 3 divisions of 10 Teams  - everyone will play each other once in the Fall & once in the SpringFall play will begin after Labor Day.Games will play Saturdays and Sundays at Chin Chapel or UTD.Playing format will be 9v9 (includes a Goalkeeper), game day roster size is 16.Grand Champion winners (total points between fall and spring) will determine division winner. By NTSSA Rules  Soccer Academy teams are not considered “registered teams,” and therefore do not have to follow recreational team formation rules.Soccer Academy rosters may change from week to week to accommodate players desiring to change Soccer Academies, or to accommodate players who want to play on one team one week and another team the next week. Academy players may register with any home association of their choice.Academy forms will need to be uploaded into the registered team account weekly

Are you referring to the teams out of the "top 3" per the LH new leagues guidelines or potentially all Solar teams?

I’m not sure where the “top 3” will be playing specifically. Usually they do play more than one league.

U90 has a new league too. Do you think the LH Committee will use the FBR Rankings? It would only make sense. I guess we will see. Solar has a lot of teams, so i would assume it would be Solar Angelone, Colvin and Solar South. What do you think???
Would Rush be one Division, then Scarfone and then Colvin, then number 4 Angelone will be in Rush division and so on and so forth......Or will there be politics involved and change the whole system and let more than 3 teams per club in as an exception??

And does not LHGCL not respect (at least in their regular leagues) schedule conflicts so that it would be difficult to play in two leagues unless the other one did schedule around LHGCL?

This would make sense, but who really knows how they will do it. Solar has 7 or 8 teams in the top 20 right now. You'd think they would want the top teams in the league regardless of how many come from a club. The limit doesn't really make much sense to me, but it is what it is.

LHGCL does not schedule around any league. Not even ECNL. Why would you need to play in multiple leagues when the best teams are in LHGCL?

As to matchups, the way seeding normally works (assuming three divisions) is
1 v 6
2 v 5
3 v 4
Note each adds up to 7.

So in one division would be 1, 6, 7, 12, 13, 18, 19, 24, 25, 30

Makes sense, except it won't be the top 30 strictly playing since each club can only send 3 teams.

It makes no sense to only allow 3 teams per club when you’re also looking for the top 30. The league will be extremely watered down. They should utilize FBR to select top 30.

Gotta love all these Solar parents worrying about the only 3 teams in per club rule. Lol. I’m sure they will figure it out or there will be rioting in the streets.

Has anyone heard whether further clarity has been given to the so-called "three team" rule for this new league? Any chance it will be amended? It stands to reason both the league and all qualified teams participating would want the top teams involved. It doesn't make sense not to include the highest ranked teams just because they come from a club with several strong 09g teams, does it?

Outside of jr. classic league. Where else is everyone planning to play? U90, PIT, Primetime???

I’m sure the top 3 teams per club is a rule to lessen the impact of roster sharing within a club... big clubs have historically shared top players with their lower teams to prop up the bottom of the club. Obviously they could just be strict on player sharing and that would solve the problem but they won’t.

This LH league is going to be terrible for the top 5 or so teams because the 30 teams will not include every top 30 team and each division will be balanced which will split up the talent... each top 5 or so team may play 1 or 2 competitive games all season and some weeks will be absolute blowouts. I know every one is doing LH league but we need a 2nd top league to form so the best teams can play each other week in week out which isn’t going to happen in LH league.

Also with 3 top teams getting a bye into Classic league, the qualifying tournament is going to be an even bigger snoozefest for the next 3-7 teams because even less competition will be in it. Not that I’m complaining about that... just making an observation.

I didn't realize the balancing aspect. That also makes no sense. Should strive to make each division as competitive as possible. That's what's best for all the teams and, yes, player development.
