Which teams get into Lake Highlands this year?

So it looks like their are 4 spots and 13 teams qualifying for Lake Highlands. Who gets in?

It's gonna be a tough tournament for the '05s Less than 1 goal separates the top team from #10 in US Rankings. I have seen most of the teams play and my DD has played some of these teams. The 4 that get into the league all have a chance of winning D3. There is not much difference in capability between D3 and D2 with this age group.

I hope the #1 - #4 seeds (will be interesting to see how LH seeds this group) don't take this lightly or they will be disappointed in their results.

I have only seen about half of these teams in action, and anything can happen in qualifying especially with this heat and players on vacation.

That said, I believe that Sparta FC & City Warriorz will take 2 of the 4 available spots.

Ill throw my hat in the ring and pick America FC and FCD West red taking two of the spots.
Lubbock would be my third pick, but I was out there last summer and saw first hand what the heat and pressure does to the teams.

That's why they play the games.

The heat will be a great test for all teams. My Sparta group did great in the King Tut tournament and the heat was very present the final day. The girls seemed to be really flat on the 4th game. Still only gave up 1 goal in 4 games so they look to build on that.

We have played several of these teams on the list and showed well but soccer is funny some games. I decided not take my girls until they were ready. We are ready now and this will be our first try at qualifying.

We played FCD Wtx and don’t write them off. Very well organized I’m just not sure they will have enough to get past some of these

My take is Sparta, Warriors, FC Dallas N. Black and the fourth I think is up in the air.

There is a lot of D1 Plano teams trying out. I don't know much about those teams. Warriors team is highly ranked and we have played them but I don't look too much into the rankings. They are pretty solid group.  I know the Mansfield Revolution team has a new coach and might have lost a couple players. AFC will be strong and as far as the others not too much experience playing them or common opponents.

Ranking will be crucial I think and I’ll rank them as best as I can.
1. Revolution- will get top spot being a relegated LH team
2. Sparta- just over Warriors for various reasons, they have played recently with good results and beaten Warriors
3. Warriors-finished 1st in Plano forget about Gotsoccer rankings they mean nothing
4. McKinney Utd- Solid team
5 FCD North Black- I’m certain LH won’t rank this team so high but I believe this is where they should be based off of recent results. Coach has done a nice job
6. FCD Red West-good solid team who were my pick to get in last year but let me down. Good coach and could easily hang with the top 4
7. Blackhawks- another team that will probably be ranked higher than I have them. Good solid group of girls that I hope do well. Now all they need is for Coach MA to quieten down otherwise he might lose his hair
8. Solar Raj-not the best results in Tut for QT’s and they are a decent team but I don’t think they can challenge them above in the rankings but could still throw in the odd result
9. Royal Peak FC-can only go on Tut results and could easily surprise. I think it’s just too far for them
10. AFC- decent results in Tut but not enough to get In
11. Frisco Storm-don’t see them having enough but may get the odd result
12. Solar Bourg- results in Tut ok on the surface but when you read into them it doesn’t look good
13. FCD Wtx-This will absolutely be the last seed but write them off at your own peril
Again THIS IS MY SEEDING based on results and inside knowledge. LH will absolutely have the 1 and 13 in the same order with 2 and 3 interchangeable. After that it’s how much they look into things or just go with the previous years finish

Thoughtful analysis. With less than 1 goal separating #1 and #10 in the rankings my guess is you probably got between 1 and 3 right in your rankings.. This group is too close to call and rank.. It's gonna be tone of the best age group to watch in the tournament next to the drama filled '08s where it's get in or have your soccer career ruined for the rest of your life.

Bracket A group of death

WOW.. LH got this group good.. Gonna be a tough weekend.. forget about the heat.. This group gonna create their own fireworks.

Yes I’m shocked they gave it to Sparta. Not that I think they don’t deserve it because their results are very good 
But LH always tend to give the #1 seed to the team/s out of of LH

Looks like Tut results mattered for a couple of teams. Not shocked on Sparta getting #1 but it was a toss up between Sparta - Warriorz - NTX Celtic. All three of these teams were worthy.

Overall I think LH put together some great brackets for this group. Not a single team will be walking off the fields thinking QT was easy.

The 3 you mentioned above were all in Cowtown Gold Bracket.

AFC with a tough draw having to play 3 weekday games.

What’s the format? Hoffman could be the one seed if they are taking two out of that bracket.

What’s format? If two teams get out of 5-team bracket, they may not have done a strict snake. But it doesn’t matter who is the 1 seed. More interested in hearing format.

You might be right but the top 2 in Bracket A and B are right then it Makes sense to have the 3 and 4th seed coming out of the 5

1st and 2nd in each bracket move on to week 2

Very good weekend of soccer, very hot but we made it out healthy. Some surprising teams made it into the final 6. Wonder how they will bracket the groups.
