Which teams get into Lake Highlands this year?

Only 6 into 2nd week? What’s thT 2 games per team? That’a a little different.

They will have two groups of three teams. You will play both teams in your bracket and one crossover game from the other bracket.

Yes but it could be worse for some teams rather than others. I would line them up play crossover brackets so all teams play each other that way you are all playing the same teams with no complaints. 1,2 and 5 seed in one bracket  3,4 and 6 in the other and you will get the top 4 teams no matter what
After watching most teams I was pleasantly surprised 
By Royal Peak. Still unbeaten in their GotSoccer record! 
I’ll be happy to throw them as one of the 4 and be confident with that. Sparta without a doubt, still going FCD North so that leaves Warriors or FCD West to fight it out and I’ll take FCD West as a gut feeling with a little insider knowledge

I was surprised that the Blackhawks team didn't have better results against Solar (Raj) and FC Dallas. They played Sparta real tough and was our toughest match, they had a controlled game and defense held their own against our mids and forwards.

All will be revealed in due time grasshopper 
Saw the Solar game and Blackhawks had all the play the ball just wouldn’t bounce for them. It was just one of those games. Solar also scored with a long looping shot where the GK could have been 6’ 5” and still wouldn’t have saved it. Speculative effort towards goal that went in.

Did you happen to catch any Sparta games? I would appreciate some feedback.

I did not and really wanted too. Over the past year they have had some good results and really wanted to watch them play they just weren’t playing when I was there. As I said I was impressed with Royal Peak as I had never seen them play out of all the teams. They have plenty of weaknesses but have a lot of good things going  for them. Now it’s 6 teams left for 4 places. Good luck to everyone as it’s never easy.

Solar - Llamas
Royal Peak FC
FC Dallas West Red - (NTX Celtic Hoffman)
FC Dallas North Black
City FC - Warriorz

My thoughts are Sparta, City FC, Royal Peak, and FC Dallas West Red.

These are 13 year old girls so any given weekend, you can see any of these teams take advantage of mistakes, hormones, or apathy.
I just hope for some good soccer going into the second weekend. There were several teams that didn't even need to play with an entire midfield as they relied on the "kick, run, pray" game plan. Pretty soccer is fun to watch, with two teams that compete to win and play well together.

I agree they are 12 and 13 but they know what they are playing for. As far as good soccer being played what games did you watch?

A couple of surprises from QT it would appear. I only got 2 out of the 4 right. Was there anything out of the normal that happened or did the girls who made it just want it more?

Royal Peak were a surprise for me but deserved to be in.
FCD Black I picked from the beginning just based on results of this year and didn’t let me down
Sparta also was a lock and performed like one.
Warriors have the same pattern for the last 3 years of QT and if you are in coaching you should be able to realize what’s wrong hence that I didn’t pick them
McKinney was a disappointment as I thought they would make it. So other than McKinney which I picked from the start the rest got in. This years form held true

I thought the FCD (formerly Celtic) team played great team ball and were a good well balanced team. They were also coached well.  We played them Sunday and neither team had anything to play for, it was nice to have good well played game without any coaches going mad on the sidelines or dirty play by the players. I thought the McKinney team would have showed better as well as Warriors but they didn't look to be the same team we played in the Cowtown Classic. Royal Peak which I have never seen play looked to have a great last couple of weeks, I am excited to play against them this season.

I was surprised by a certain team we played and how their coaches acted, I also heard they might have both gotten tossed in a later game that night. It seems more and more that my team and the lack of respect we get from bigger clubs keeps happening. I get.... "where is Sparta?" " Do you have more teams? " I also had issues with this same club and another coach and how they acted towards me and my girls.  Yes you might want to look at our older girls teams. Did you see our 02 team made it to the Nationals? All of our girls teams now play in Lake Highlands! I did not take my 05's until they were ready. No need to try to qualify and not have the right team to make some noise. Patience is a good thing with 12/13 years old girls.

It's going to be a fun season in D3 as we have played several of these teams already and had great results. Only thing I am concerned about is all my team will now be in 7th and 8th grade and the conflicts with middle school sports.

Saw Royal Peak twice. Not as impressed as others. I do not see them scoring much at all in LH and that small back line will get targeted.

McKinney are the Kings of Plano and they will be back for another double digit win total there. They don't improve and change. Just stay the same.

Sparta was one of the more balanced and structured teams we saw no matter where they are from. Another reminder, its about the coaching not the club name.

Solar Llamas was an embarassment in every way. Not sure how that club can out that group out to represent them.

I stumbled onto this forum through a search and read a little out of curiosity. You do know that these kids you're calling "embarrassments" are hard working 12 and 13 year old girls, who love soccer, dedicate multiple nights a week to it, forego vacations etc. for their team....
These are adults posting on this site correct? Does that make you feel superior to insult little girls?

As far as Solar, no both coaches did not get tossed. The ref was an utter embarrassment to the uniform doing things like screaming at both teams of girls to shut up, yelling about how short his fuse was, making disparaging remarks about coaches' ethnicity, etc. Truly the worst display of ref behavior I've ever seen including rec. I don't think the people discussing the situation are privy to all the facts.

So as far as embarrassing results, after getting beaten 4-0 in Tut by Sparta, didn't Solar cut that to 1-0 the 2nd weekend of QT? Not really an embarrassment. Tied Warriors? Not embarrassing. Lost 2-0 to FCD during the game with the crazy ref. Not the desired result, but embarrassing? Nope.

I will not find it necessary to post here regularly but felt the need to respond. I'm sure you will respond to me in an equally nasty way, but at least I'm an adult.

The girls were not the issue. The coaches and the ref had had enough of each other.
