FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday

Post by Gameday 04 New 12/08/18, 11:55 am

Greetings all and welcome to the Fall 2018 - Spring 2019 season.  There is a consensus around the North Texas soccer scene that the recent off-season created almost as much havoc as the Age Pure mandate of a couple of years ago.  There was an incredible amount of change in the form of; coaches moving teams to new Clubs, the addition of two more ECNL teams,  more NPL opportunities, and the usual player movement seeking greener pastures.

With this weekend's cancellation of Classic League and the Solar tournament, there has been limited action to actually observe.   This is a freeform discussion to kick-off the season and to give opinions for what they're worth.

Here's a look at some teams and their respective GotSoccer.com rankings.

CLASSIC DIVISION 1

Rank #1 DALLAS TEXANS - FABER are the defending NT State Cup Champions and look to defend their crown.  The 3rd place finishers in D1 last year will definitely have a bullseye on their back. Last week's winners of their own Club's tournament did show them allowing 2 goals per game in the group stage and may have been signs of early rust? Unknown how much of the roster is intact as the Texans now offer ECNL as well as the usual DA? They also qualified play in the new SRPL, now the Frontier Conference of the US YOUTH SOCCER National League. Sounds like a very busy year with more high expectations?

Rank #2 FC PREMIERE - FORZI finished in 4th place in Classic and also qualified to participate in the Frontier Conference of US YOUTH SOCCER National League. Forzi's squad also represented very well at the 2018 US Club National Cup getting into the Premiere level final.  Moving forward this squad has a lot of experience playing at higher level events so does Classic and local tournaments still mean that much to them?

Rank #3 DALLAS KICKS last year's team finished D1 in 2nd place.  Emphasis on last year's roster is made as they will feature some new faces at some key positions.  It's part of being a victim of your own success that certain players will draw a lot of attention and be lured away.  The usual fluid offense had trouble finding the back of the net at the Texans tournament only scoring 4 goals in 5 games, while only allowing 4 goals. The defense seems to be settled.  They are also slated for Frontier, but will their focus be split between playing in two leagues?

Rank #4 CHELSEA EAST was the winner of D2 and the newcomer which was identified as a team to watch from long ago.  We could pull up our predictions of their certain promotion, but no need to at this point.  The D2 winners made an incredible run in the 2018 North Texas State Cup beating FCD Premiere, FC Premiere, FCD - Hedges and losing in the final. Rumors are circulating of some new additions to the roster as well? How will they react to the week in, week out grind of a D1 schedule? Will they be up to the task now that teams have seen them more than once?

Rank #6 DALLAS TEXANS - RANGEL finished D1 in 6th place and are something of an enigma.  Their account shows no activity since the KS Memorial Day Tournament. They did not participate in the their own tournament last week, what does that mean? They are scheduled vs. Chelsea East on 8/18 and they have won the last two meetings. This could get interesting real quick?

Rank #7 FC DALLAS - KANG is the second winner of promotion from last year's D2. Their account also shows limited touches in the off-season but Kang knows how to get his teams ready to compete.  This team kept the race close with Chelsea East showing a plus 28 goal differential for last season. They have earned promotion from D3 and D2 the past two seasons. This team is trending up inside of the Club.

Rank #10 SOLAR EAST finished D1 in 5th place as an FC Dallas team.  Why did they move? More interestingly- why were they not going to appear in the Solar tournament this weekend? There were 3 other Solar squads set to play and they were not one of them? Are they ready?

Rank #11 FC DALLAS PREMIERE was last year's defacto Classic League champion going 13-1-4 and posting a gaudy +36 goal differential. But since then they have not met their usual high standards at the State Cup and Memorial Day tournament.  This is Coach Dane's second year with this team and look to increase in their winning ways. Will their challenging first 3 games on the schedule point the direction of this team?

Rank #14 FC DALLAS - PINO finished D1 in 7th place.  Their account shows minimal action in the off-season, but then again nobody wanted to be out at King TUT.

Rank #57 DALLAS TEXANS - BADI, it is what it is- is a phrase that comes to mind?  Last season's D3 9th place finisher is taking the Bye from the Partain team headed to ECNL. How much movement from within the club is not really known? What is known is their performance last week at their club's tournament. A 0-0 draw vs. Texans ECNL team,  a 4-4 draw vs. a D2 team,  a 3-0 win vs. a now D3 team and a close 2-1 loss to the D1 Kicks.  Sounds like a big club dynamic with some players opting to stay in Classic instead of following Partain to ECNL?

CLASSIC DIVISION 2

The rebranded FALLS TOWN FC is expected to run away from the pack and earn promotion into D1 next year.  Contenders for the coveted second spot are FCD ETX and the RAYOS.  LIVERPOOL TOSHACK isn't likely as mass defection occurred and the bulk of the team is now SOLAR RAJ who themselves could make a serious run.

CLASSIC DIVISION 3

Keep in mind that our 04s are no longer just boys,  but impressive young men and the talent gap between the Divisions seems to have narrowed once again.  There's a lot of quality football to be played in D3 with the likes of BARCELONA SC, FCP DYNAMOS, DALLAS ROMA and INTER UNITED.  A special shout out to the HP DRIFTERS for doing their part to elevate the game throughout all of the North Texas territory.  Definitely want to see more of them in the tournaments as they have demonstrated a high caliber of play.

ECNL IN NORTH TEXAS
From only Liverpool in the initial Boys ECNL season, there are now 3 teams as SOLAR and DALLAS TEXANS are now in the mix. ECNL is a great opportunity and will likely continue to grow in North Texas.  However,  one could question what effect this could have on the talent pool within the Classic League landscape? Teams can still club pass, but will this be a factor?  Does it dilute the talent pool? Or, will DA players opt out to play ECNL, high school and some Classic? Time will tell.
NOTE: The ECNL National Champion came out of the Texas/Ok conference,  TSC Hurricane went all the way.

Rumors circulate of new attention to detail as far as refereeing goes in Classic with the newly installed referee assignor.  That's probably a good thing but don't expect V-A-R anytime soon.

Wishing everyone a great year of football coming up filled with excitement,  growth and player safety.

Post by Gameday 04 New 17/08/18, 08:44 pm

Well here we go, Week 1 coming up.

SATURDAY--
TEXANS Rangel vs. CHELSEA EAST
Who knows what's going to happen and who knows who's suiting up for Rangel? Is the League doing them a favor with a 3 game schedule in the first week, or is it a slap on the wrist for turning in paperwork late? The only thing that's evident is that we'll have a good idea of what they have under the hood in just the next 9 days.

FCD Pino vs. TEXANS Badi
Any guesses? This game will be mainly to identify who signed where.

SOLAR Hedges vs. FCD Kang
Another game that will begin to shed light on roster movements.

WEDNESDAY--
FC PREMIERE vs. DALLAS KICKS
Nothing like kicking off the season on a school night on the first week of school?

TEXANS Faber vs. FCD PREMIERE
Regarded as the 2 most successful teams from last year look to start the season by establishing their territory with a W.

Any predictions?
Good luck to all.

Post by Gameday 04 New 19/08/18, 07:16 am

DIVISION 2 launches today with a bang!
What to watch for:

TIGRES vs. LIVERPOOL who will be featuring what is rumored to be a completely new roster? Tigres had a big surge last Spring, will they continue that trend?

FEVER vs. SOLAR WEST who was Liverpool last year, looks for a win with its new roster.

GAME OF THE WEEK
RAYOS vs. FCD ETX features 2 teams that are trending way up and will be in the mix for winning promotion. There is a contrast in style with one of the teams favoring a real possession style attack.

What we really need is a champions tournament. That could really strike up some conversation. Also don’t forget NPL.

A combined tourney with Classic, NPL, ECNL and DA. Well maybe not DA... The results may wake up this forum.

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty LET'S START AN ECNL...

Post by Gameday 04 New 23/08/18, 10:01 am

Interesting concept presented by Pass2me. The closest thing we have to that is the Dallas Cup?

Meanwhile back at Farmers Branch-
Let's start ECNL they said... but won't it dilute the pool they pondered... it should actually bring in more quality players they hoped....

Not the start the TEXANS were looking for.  The (3) D1 squads have combined for 0 wins and 4 losses, 2 goals scored, 7 goals conceded.  Don't need to hit the panic button quite yet but you figure those parents and their checkbooks are not happy right now?

Note- 2 unrelated topics, your proposed all North Texas Champions tournament and the Texans lackluster start.

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty WEEKEND PREVIEW & PLANO LABOR DAY GOLD

Post by Gameday 04 New 24/08/18, 08:09 pm

WEEKEND PREVIEW

DIVISION 1
The Game of the Week honors go to the reigning D1 winners FC Dallas Premiere vs. the still up and coming Chelsea East. Both teams won their openers and it is actually Chelsea East who has won the past 2 times these teams have met.  But, that was in tournament play.  They now face each other in Classic for the first time.  How will Chelsea East matchup to an FCD loaded roster of former DA players and players with a lot of D1 experience? This feels like a David vs. Goliath type match.

More to the point it's the biggest contrasts in youth soccer philosophy- BIG CLUB vs independent. How do they develop talent? How much does it cost per year? What type of environment is best for the kids? Regardless of the result it's only one game.

DIVISION 2
For all practical purposes D2 starts this weekend. The feature game is Rayos vs. FC Premiere and again,  how will the promoted team fare against an experienced and salty D2 team? We'll also get our first look at the new Solar team, formerly Liverpool from last year's D2.

PLANO LABOR DAY INVITATIONAL
The GOLD bracket is set and as predicted Classic is well represented. All of our projected teams were selected except for three who have been replaced by:
ID Houston Legends (Same Club that played King Tut, new Gotsoccer account),
D3 Dallas Roma,
And something called HOUSTON DYNAMO YOUTH DYNAMO SOUTH 04 PRE ACADEMY which is a mouthful.  So get used to hearing "SEND IT HOUSTON DYNAMO YOUTH DYNAMO SOUTH 04 PRE ACADEMY!"

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty ANOTHER 4-0 SCORE ?!?!

Post by Gameday 04 New 26/08/18, 01:36 pm

Did anyone notice earlier in the week when the league posted a 4-0 score for FCD Kang vs. Chelsea East-  played in OCTOBER of this year?! Obviously an error input?

But checking scores right now I see again Chelsea East, but winning 4 - 0 to FCD Premiere -  and it just looks weird.
Is this accurate? Can somebody who was there confirm??

Yes 4-0 CE.I watched some of it.CE was up 1-0 when one of the FCD players was red carded for using the f-word.At that time CE was controlling the game frustrating FCD.I came back later and asked for the score and was told 4-0 CE with FCD having two red cards

Thanks Soccermaniac04 for that confirmation.
What sounds more out of the ordinary? FCD Premier allowing 4, scoring none, or the 2 Red cards? Either way you have to hand it to Chelsea East as they are atop the table.

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty THE WEEK IN REVIEW

Post by Gameday 04 New 27/08/18, 02:20 pm

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Division 1
The newcomers Chelsea East and FCD Kang have gotten off to a fast start winning a combined 4 games.  The biggest win has to be CE's 4-0 thumping of FCD Premiere which as we heard had something to do with 2 Red Cards.  Speaking of which,  a quick look at the MISCONDUCT REPORT shows that both players will serve 2 game suspensions,  NOT 1.  Code AL we assume stands for "adult language"?  How many adults could be booked as well?  The League is standing firm on a No Tolerance policy toward language.   Last thing on this game is that Soccermaniac04 stated CE was controlling the game and frustrating the opposition. This raises a few questions. Is Chelsea East that good?  Or, did FCD Premiere have an off day?

Dallas Kicks piled up some goals vs. 2 very defensive based teams on their way to 2 wins.  Sounds like the new pieces are fitting in nicely.

The 3 Dallas Texans teams have only 1 win in 7 games.  The Faber team sits at the very bottom of the table and have not scored a goal in 2 games.  IT'S STILL EARLY so no need to hit the panic button for anyone.

Division 2
Not many games have been played so we'll pass on any commentary for now. There are 3 games scheduled on Monday night.  Are you ready for some football? (Sorry, just had to.)

Division 3
It's the Dallas Cosmos A.K.A. Crush thumping their chests sitting atop the Table. Newcomer Dallas Roma holding their own with a win and a draw. They will be getting some extra touches at the Labor Day tournament. Things are not looking well for Athletico Español with 2 losses. Again,  it's very early and all teams will be playing on Wednesday.

Good luck to all teams playing in the PLDI Tournament!

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty WEEK 3 PREVIEW

Post by Gameday 04 New 05/09/18, 11:53 am

WEEK 3 PREVIEW

We are in Week 3 and since the start of the season there has been a lot of activity outside of Classic. The Top 4 have been playing their Frontier games and some teams were extra busy at Labor Day weekend tournaments getting a lot of extra games.  Those minutes do add up and need to be managed while giving opportunities to the bench.   We'll focus on the D1 midweek games as there are increasing chances for rain this weekend.

FCD PREMIERE vs. FCD KANG
The Premiere squad is a team who has had an extended rest having not played since that big 4-0 loss to Chelsea East. Maybe too much time to sit and reflect? Either way you look at it they will be hungry for a win to - Shake It Off. Equally hungry is Kang's crew who will want to show the League that it's no surprise that they belong in D1. These intra-club matches can be a lot of fun as the players are familiar with one another. Look for a tight score.

TEXANS-FABER vs. TEXANS-BADI
Fortunately one team will get their first win of the season and unfortunately the other will not.

FC PREMIERE-FORZI vs. FCD-PINO
Forzi catches Pino who lasted into the knockout phase of the PLDI. Will FCD have tired legs?

MATCH OF THE WEEK
DALLAS KICKS vs. CHELSEA EAST in a battle of the unbeatens who seek to stay atop of the table. Look for a lot of offensive skill from both of these squads. Look for a lot of style as both teams feature creative attacks.  Both teams logged extra minutes over Labor Day so this should be interesting.

Good luck to all and make sure to get a good stretch and warmup.

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty RAIN - RAIN GO AWAY!!

Post by Gameday 04 New 07/09/18, 10:32 pm

It's a rainy Friday night across the Metroplex and there's a full D2 a d D3 schedule on Saturday morning.  Yet the Classic weather Hotline states- No updates?   So how do the folks from Wichita Falls and Tyler manage this?

If we do have games on Saturday-
D2
Last year's D1 Fever United vs. Falls Town is an intriguing matchup. Does either team actually play D1 level ball?  Who really wants to gain promotion?
D3
FCP Dynamos vs. Barcelona SC -  features 2 of the top teams of the Division.  Both were busy at the PLDI.

Play tomorrow looks bleak.

PS: Memo Ochoa shouldn't have cut his hair? (Sampson effect??)

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty WEEK 4 PREVIEW / GASP!!

Post by Gameday 04 New 14/09/18, 11:46 am

It's a very busy weekend of action on the schedule, but again keeping a close eye on the weather and the Classic Weather Hotline (214) 814-4321.

DIVISION 1
FCD KANG vs FCD PINO in one of those intra-club matches where anything can happen.  Kang's crew has been active on both ends of the pitch with a 6/4 goal differential. Pino has been equally competent with a 7/6 GD.  Kang needs a win to stay at the top of the table and will bring a max effort.

FCD PREMIERE vs. FC PREMIERE will be very telling on identifying which team is trending up and which still isn't.  Both teams were Top 4 performers last year, but both teams come in with negative goal differentials.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
DALLAS KICKS vs. TEXANS-FABER who have gotten off to an uncharacteristic poor start. However,  these two recently met in tournament play where it was a draw and Faber's side winning 1-0 in the final.  This may be the matchup Faber has been looking forward to? The Kicks have gotten off to a great start and seem to be clicking,  but still- Faber has not and has a -2 GD.  This is one of those type of matchups that whoever is able to assert their will, will come out the winner.

So much talk about goal differential so you know what that means?
It's almost time for the GAMEDAY POWER RATINGS! If the games are played,  four data points are sufficient to crank out the numbers to identify the League's top performers.

DIVISION 2
RAYOS vs. FCD ETX will be a game of contrasting styles. Rayos organic possession style vs. ETXs physicality and speed.  Depending on how tight the refs call this may point toward the winner and that's terrible.

OPINION- Reffing has been inconsistent and it does not reflect well on the League that the temperance of the ref crew can vary when observing from one field to the next.  Hand fighting calls vary slightly, but tackles from unsafe challenges, especially from the blindside or behind should be immediately booked Yellow. They have not been and that's nonsense!  This causes things to get chippy very quickly both on off the field including THE SIDELINES.  Some parents are blinded by the expectations for their golden child and cannot conceive that they could ever be called for a foul. If this is you,  work on it.

Therefore,  the League should mandate a safe play FIRST attitude. Again, this will encourage an environment where skill is coveted over size, physicality and speed. We are not Oklahoma!!
The big picture is this- how are we as a region to produce top talent if it's not built into our game style?
GASP!  Did I actually say that out-loud?

Post by Gameday 04 New 24/09/18, 11:32 am

We are in Week 6 of the classic season and there is a full slate of action set for tonight. The fields may be moist but playable.

A quick look at the GPR after 4 games:
2.8 Chelsea East
2.5 Dallas Kicks
2.2 FCD Kang
1.0 FCD Premiere
0.3 Texans Rangel
0.0 FCD Pino
-1.5 Solar
-1.6 Texans Faber
-1.7 FC Premiere
-2.7 Texans Badi

The GPR held true last week with the Kicks 1 goal win over Kang.

FCD Pino vs. FCD Premiere who finally had a big offensive turnout last week. Does that continue?

FC Premiere vs. FCD Kang So how does Kang respond after their first loss? When does last year's Forzi squad finally show up?

GAME OF THE WEEK
Texans Rangel vs. Dallas Kicks who are flying high right now and have the #1 offense in D1. Can Rangel slow them down? Or, does Rangel's squad give an effort to show the League that they belong at the top?

Stay safe out there.
(Refs make sure not to forget the Yellow cards in the car again?)

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty Re: FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday

Post by Gameday 04 New 28/09/18, 01:50 pm

Now that the weather is cooperating,  let's try this again.  With the recent rescheduling there's a push to finish the first round of games by the second weekend of October.

Most teams have already played their 5th game,  so that leaves Texans Faber, Solar, Texans Rangel and Chelsea East that must cram in 5 games into the next 2 weeks. Is there a slight edge to their opponents?

TEXANS RANGEL vs. FCD KANG
How does Kang rebound after their first defeat? They have not had a big offensive game, only scoring a max of 2 in any game.  Rangel's team has had up and down performances so this one will be interesting.

GAME OF THE WEEK
DALLAS KICKS vs. FC DALLAS PREMIERE
The Kicks have been drawing a lot of attention lately and this is a big game for both squads. Dane has been observed making mass substitutions with that big roster. Are they playing to win, or to equally distribute playing time? Does he have a true starting 11 yet? The only blemish on the Kicks record is a hard fought tie vs. Chelsea East so we'll give the nod to the Kicks in this one.

DIVISION 2

FCD ETX vs. FALLS TOWN
The winner of this one may not shoot to the top of the table,  but will indicate who is working in that direction.  Great matchup!

Stay safe out there.

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty RACE TO 22!!

Post by Gameday 04 New 02/10/18, 03:44 pm

NOW WE HAVE A RACE!
It's a race to 21 or 22 points, that's what the Fall season has come down to.  The team who finishes the first cycle (9 games) on top will have EARNED that invitation to the Dallas Cup.  We project that it will take 21 or 22 points to be on top.

Here are the contenders, their current point totals and their remaining schedule:

13 pts. DALLAS KICKS remaining schedule vs. Solar, Texans Rangel, Texans Badi

13 pts. FC DALLAS PREMIERE remaining schedule vs. Texans Badi, FCD Pino, Solar

11 pts. FC DALLAS KANG (only 20 pts. total max.)

10 pts. CHELSEA EAST remaining schedule vs. Texans Faber, FC Premiere,  Texans Badi, FCD Kang

9 pts. FC DALLAS PINO remaining schedule vs. Solar, Texans Rangel, FCD Premiere, Texans Faber.

Let's have a great next 2 weeks and congratulations to all these competitive players!

REFS- DON'T LEAVE THE YELLOWS IN THE CAR?!
Call the games in favor of skill!! (We're not in Oklahoma.)

The race to 22 continues this weekend.

CHELSEA EAST vs. FC PREMIERE
Chelsea coming off of their first loss last weekend, but a win on Thursday. Any details on that loss would be interesting.

DALLAS KICKS vs. SOLAR
It was Solar with a win over FCD Pino on Thursday. Maybe surprising to others, but not them. Will they and the other teams who played on Thursday have some heavy legs?

FC DALLAS PREMIERE vs. DALLAS TEXANS BADII
It was Dane's side with the big win over Kicks last Saturday to pull even with the other 2 front runners at 13 points.

PLAY SAFE!

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty Re: FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday

Due to alternative scheduling by the League; not completely finishing the first cycle of 9 games and pushing ahead with the "Spring" season games this is a snapshot look at the GDPR. For the first time ever we've cranked out the numbers with lopsided numbers of games played. However, the results are very interesting and may forecast how the year finishes.

DIVISION 1
4.0 CHESLEA EAST is the de facto winner of the Fall season. There is a new sheriff in town! They have more ratings points despite only playing 9 games.
3.7 FC DALLAS PREMIERE is actually in 3rd place, however come in with the second highest rating due to in part to only 1 loss in the season.
3.4 DALLAS KICKS who are in second place come in with the third best performance.
2.5 FC DALLAS KANG have had a strong performance also with only 2 losses.

0.5 FC DALLAS PINO is a crafty bunch and top the middle of the pack.
-0.9 DALLAS TEXANS FABER got off to a terrible start but the reigning State Champs remain a tough out.
-1.2 DALLAS TEXANS RANGEL are below Solar on the table but have had a better overall performance.

These bottom 3 teams are squarely in the relegation zone and need to regroup quickly.
-2.1 SOLAR
-2.3 FC PREMIERE
-3.5 DALLAS TEXANS BADI

At the end of the month we'll crank out the final Fall numbers.

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty Re: FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday

Post by Gameday 04 New 31/12/18, 01:39 pm

Hoping everyone had a nice Christmas and enjoying some time off. Here is a look at how 2018 finishes in terms of the Gameday Power RATING, but with an uneven number of games played and not adjusted for any strength of schedule. The numbers indicate the overall strength and success vs. their specific Divisions.

DIVISION 1
4.7 CHELSEA EAST despite being listed in second place, the team is by far the best performer in D1. The number also entails its head to head 2-0 win over the Kicks in their second meeting.
4.1 DALLAS KICKS who managed their turnover well during the transfer window.
3.6 FC DALLAS Premire have had up and down performances trying to figure out their team identity.
3.3 FC DALLAS Kang turned in a solid performance and could improve their standing despite 4 Draws.
-0.6 FC DALLAS Pino comes in with the 5th highest performance but quite a ways back from the top 4.

D1 is currently suffering great disparity which is not good for development of the overall 04 crop.

DIVISION 2
6.5 FALLS TOWN is laying waste to the rest of D2 as predicted. We figure they would be a solid mid-level performer in D1 as things stand now.
4.8 FC DALLAS ETX, the 4th place team has the second highest GDPR. Why is this important? They could make a push into the second place this Spring.
4.4 FC PREMIERE Green, what will happen if they earn promotion and Forzi gets relegated?
3.8 RAYOS, can they make a push into second?

DIVISION 3
Either of these 3 will make a good addition to D2.
6.8 FCP DYNAMOS
5.0 DALLAS ROMA
3.5 BARCELONA

CONGRATULATIONS to all players, teams and coaches on an exciting 2018 and looking forward to more excellence in 2019!

FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday Empty Re: FALL '18 - SPRING '19 CLASSIC LEAGUE KICK-OFF by Gameday

Post by Gameday 04 New 05/02/19, 10:27 pm

This is an updated look at the Gameday Power Rating with mostly everyone with12 games in the books and only 6 to go later this Spring. Also a look at who is likely to win promotion, and who is squarely in the dreaded relegation zone.

DIVISION 1
5.3 Chelsea East looking even stronger.
4.2 Dallas Kicks busy getting extra touches.
3.7 FCD Premiere regrouping and ready to run.
3.3 FCD Kang fighting for a Top 4 spot.
-0.2 DT Faber not going away quietly.
-0.6 FCD Pino just hanging in the middle.
-1.5 Solar still putting up a fight.
-1.9 FC Premiere staying out of relegation zone?
-2.9 DT Rangel facing threat of relegation.
-4.0 DT Badii - no offense but they didn't earn their way into D1.
The Texans and their strategy to try to do everything this year has really watered down their Brand as far as the 04s go. Their downward trend points toward mass defections in the open window.

DIVISION 2
6.2 Falls Town as virtually promised is moving on up.
5.8 FCD ETX- told you they were a team to watch!
4.3 Rayos can maybe make things interesting?
3.7 FC Premiere may be staying put in D2?
.....
-6.1 Liverpool couldn't keep their best players...
-7.7 FCD Red will re-group in D3.

DIVISION 3
7.2 FCP Dynamos will transition and make a nice addition to D2.
5.0 Dallas Roma in 3rd but 2nd best performance- real threat to earn promotion.
3.5 FCD Gold
3.5 Barcelona
The following teams need to improve in head to head play and hope for a little luck to keep from being relegated out of the Classic League;
Inter United
Dallas Cosmos (will resurface as who?)
FCD N
FCD W
Impact Murador
Athletico Español (where will their good players resurface?)

Stay safe out there on those turf High School football fields and the wise ones will save something for the Spring push!
