U14 Frontier Division
We didn't know what to expect playing in DA for our first year but I think our girls are enjoying it and still learning to play as a team. This is a brand new team that just started playing together in August. We have a long way to go but it's been fun so far!

Just talked w James Hale comparing notes. He is firm on his breaking story that an emotional Mike Stoops was fired today. More on our BLITZ. #Sooners. @NEWS9

I was wondering ... Did you happen to catch the Big 12 football match on television last night? No? Oh ... It was most exhilarating. The Red Raiders of Texas Tech took on the Horned Frogs of TCU. And in the end, the Red Raiders triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big 'H'. It was most gripping victory!
Just 17-14. At least a skosh of 'D' being played wouldn't ya say?

Front came through at beginning of the game. Solar had significant wind advantage in the first half that was much much stronger than the wind in the second half. Just seeing the score doesn't give the story of the game. People there know how close this one was. This is why we joined the DA for facing opponents like this. Looking forward to facing them again!

i don`t know much about girls soccer but i want to learn. is there anything that you can take from the match and say that the teams learned something to help them become pros or improved on what they learned? or is simply playing in a tough match equate to development?OkieEnergyDad wrote:Just got back to the house from the match. I have my own reasons as to why the US national team is as dominant as it is but are great americans players built from such programs? or is true that a top american professional player has an equal chance of becoming great regardless of the system?
question isn`t exactly well organized. i can make it more clear if needed.

hahaaa. Nice meme! lets see if i can be more clear. if the us men and women have coaches with the same exact same knowledge of the game, yet the womens dominates and the mens side has been terrible forever, it leads to believe that it is just a matter of time before the women`s national team gets exposed.Checkpoint Charlie wrote:ko242 wrote:i don`t know much about girls soccer but i want to learn. is there anything that you can take from the match and say that the teams learned something to help them become pros or improved on what they learned? or is simply playing in a tough match equate to development?OkieEnergyDad wrote:Just got back to the house from the match. as soon as other countries devote the same amount of time and resources to womens soccer, then usa women will be just as bad the mens side and not be able to win a world cup.
Or??? is it possible that the men coaches on the womens side actually do know how to emphasis the right things of the game which is why they (womens soccer) do well. but that just wouldn´t make sense. because men that are coaching women, played soccer in the same environment that men coaching the boys did, therefore having the same education and knowledge of the game. it can`t be that when men go to the girls side, they all of a sudden become better coaches. playing competive games against other bad teams will not help you improve if the coaching is bad (unless you are playing against countries that are so far behind in developing womens soccer that you end up having a goal differential of 150+ in friendlies and qualification matches at the end of the year). and that is why USA cannot produce world class players who play up until 18 years of age in US soccer on the mens side (because soccer is invested into on the mens side in other parts of the world). and just as i said, getting coaches who cant coach and athletic players who cant play, won`t help develop top players. so US womens is getting away with it for now. should other parts of the world follow US, we will be talking about the good old days when the womens national team was good. but is it because they were good or because the rest of the world was so far behind???

I would have to say there was less Offense played that day than more Defense.Big Ern wrote:5050Ball wrote:Why'd they pick on him? Nobody in the Big 12 plays D anyway.
