02G Rankings Post em

Anyone have any opinions on the 02G Rankings- Post them.

Its tough to rank right now. There has been so much moving around. FCD Premier added players and beat Rowdies. Kat added players and lost players. Fever joined with DT Penn and added players. Solar Murin broke up. Stav and Dynamo added. Those are just the ones I know about.

I would say it starts with FC Dallas...they looked very good in Winter Classic!

I also watched Kat's new 02 team this weekend and they are very strong. They already had a couple of talented and fast players, but now they added defenders. they are definitely a top 5 pick..

My Opinion Only. There may be other teams creeping up to the top ten that I am not aware of.

Sorry, but I can't give FC Dallas that much credit. They lost to a short handed Kat team at the end of SDL. Kat had 4-5 '03s playing and still dominated the game with those '03s. I believe Solar Webb and Rowdies are the top 2.
Hard to rank Andromeda in the top 10 also. SRSA/Webb '03 beat them I believe 7-1 indoor. Yes..... I know indoor really doesn't count, but.....

A lot has changed between the last SDL game and now.

Are you dismissing the fact that FCD has made some roster moves that appear to be working out nicely?

Yeh. A lot has changed in 3 months. Teams have combined and many girls have changed teams. Last weekend was the only time to see some of the "NEW" changes. If you were not there, you missed out.

Did any team look like they've added considerable talent. I see you've put FC Dallas up and I hear they added a couple, but what about Fever and Glotz as you seem to have leaped them over all Solar teams from Fall? Should be interesting in the Spring.

Yes, my ('03) DD practices with many of them. She filled the gap with a dominate forward that will be hard to defend with her speed. More than makes up for the loss of player that went to FCD.

I would never dismiss FCD and the coach. Both are solid. I just know what I saw at the end of SDL. Unfortunately my opinion can only be based on last Fall and not Winter.

I would think she would replace / add more than just one player, but I could be wrong.

Unless this new girl is some some awesome transplant no one knew about...the girl you guys lost to FCD was probably one of the best 1 or 2 in 02's! Very hard to just replace without a downgrade...at least a little!! And no she doesnt play for my dd's team!

I have seen the FCD team play. They have a forward, not sure if its the one some of you are talking about, but she is dominating and does have a major affect on the outcome of games. Take her off the field and FCD isn't anything spectacular. But with her, they are unstoppable. She is up and down the field, getting her own rebounds, stealing it from defenders. She alone, will keep FCD on top of charts. Is that possible?

I looked up the scores for Webb in the Ayses tournament and they scored 29 goals, so it looks like somebody was scoring for them. Not sure if it was a new player or existing players. Looks like they gave up 1 goal as well.

Im sure she is good, but maybe they would of scored 31 goals with girl they lost.I know they are still a strong team!!

Number 11 and Number 10 are the forwards and they both are equal in talent, fantastic players not only them but number 1, 80 and 15 are great players as well. From private conversations this roster is total different then past SDL. I don't think Kats 02/03 team will be able to hang with this team. Why did they have 5 03 on there? Did her 02 break up like her 01? If she did have any 03 playing with her this weekend, that is a great group of girls playing to be able to win. However from what I did see this weekend, top 2 are FC Dallas and Rowdies. Sting is far superior yes I am being naive.

Well, I say games are best played on the field, not in chat rooms. We will see what the spring season brings. Yes, the player that left Kat's team was good, but the team was already filled with talented players. This will be an interesting spring season.

Oh yes, Kat's Team scored 29 goals and it was #18 who contributed a lot of those goals. A very fast and talented young lady. she is also very physical for her size. She is definitely a top forward to contend with.

Solar 02 kicking-You certainly know a lot about FDC to not have a dd on this team! Memorizing kids numbers and their positions are kind of creepy dude. Number 10 is the go to girl certainly. I'm not saying that she doesn't have an amazing crew around her , but has been on this team long before the others, she is the stand out frwd on this team. He does have another center mid who has equal talent but not the size, but he doesn't ness. utilize her the way he should. I'm sure he's just more comfort. with 10.Overall great team. But 1 frwd or 1 c. mid 1 mid defender do lead the pack, like on most teams at this age, there are stand out players. Stav has a few, Dynamos have 1 or 2, Kat definately has some key players and apparently even more when she lets the 03's play up, and Rowdies about 3/4 who lead their pack .

I just happened to watch them this weekend with DD. I was invited to come out awhile ago but there is not a chance my DD would make it off the bench with this group. I received the secretive PM on positions and numbers. Where is the great Phenon or The Loco surely they can provide some more inside on FCD. Hey Loco was your DD the great fwd ? I did not see the orange shoes.

#10 for FCD is a dynamic player. Great size and strength that will only get better in time. However if you saw the last Fall SDL game you would have seen her get completely shut down by one of Kat's best '03 defenders. Kat needed a few of her '03s to fill in because some of her '02 players were out due to flu, out of town etc. I believe this was also a make up game. Either way, both teams are strong and will prove who #1 will be in power rankings this Spring. As another poster said, rankings will be proven on the field this Spring.

To answer another poster's question, NO, Kat's '02 team did not implode, they just got better.

As of now I will say FCD, Rowdies and Solar Webb are 1,2 and 3. No particular order yet.

#10 on any team is usually pretty good
