Re: Final SDL Standings - Week 8
62 goal differential with Barnes? I thought SDL was supposed to be able to dynamically move teams. Obviously Barnes and any of the bottom 3 of D1/D2 should have traded places in scheduling.

Re: Final SDL Standings - Week 8
Actually the top half of the SDL D3 table is very tough. The Barnes team had to battle to beat DT United yesterday by 1 goal... and the week before that Barnes won by 1 goal against Solar White.Shelby427 wrote:

As a point of reference, a few of the Barnes girls helped against GSSC Thunder and won that game by 1 goal after playing DT North United a few hours earlier. So, while some may want to disregard SDL "D3" teams... they shouldn't. These kids come ready to play hard and have the same coaches as the strongest SDL D1 teams.
I feel very confident in saying that Solar White (Barnes beat by 1), DT North United (Barnes beat by 1), and Texas Spirit North Gray (Barnes beat by 3) would more than hold their own against many of the 04 teams in SDL D1/2 and Primetime.

Re: Final SDL Standings - Week 8
Since Solar beat TBG Elite 3-1 in their last game I had Solar ahead of them. It's all a bit off since we're missing some scores from other weeks but I did the best I could.kellersoccerdad wrote:We are still missing one game from week 8 and a few games from other weeks. Also, LP Keegan and Solar Kenn didn't play which is why they only have 7 games.

Solar is ahead on goals differential plus they beat them head to head

Moosh98 is right. Head to Head is where Solar gets bumped. TBG did not get to play FWFC or DT Davis. TBG should have played DT Davis but played Rowdies instead for a second time. If TBG would have played DT Davis as scheduled then TBG would be up higher in standings (not to get confused with rankings). Congrats to DT Rosales in there great season.

Hi Deucee's Daddy, this is not a rankings thread. This is a standings thread. Feel free to start a new "Rankings" thread and place your girls wherever you'd like.
Good luck in the upcoming tourney... our girls aren't playing this one but we may come out to see your game against Dalglish.

Well, even in the standings, yall would probably both be 4 and 4. But Keegan would still be ahead of Spirit in the goals differential

just get experience playing on uneven, fire ant infested fields. and hazardous air quality.

We got our girls trophies (parents paid) since SDL gives you nothing.

Don't forget skilled officials who like to stand in the middle of the field and not move an inch... oh and 18 minutes halves. That was good too. Not!
For the record, we're playing Primetime in the Spring. Fields are better, 3 refs, and competition is good.

SDL this year was not as fun... maybe its time for a switch...
Where does primetime play,,, maybe it won't be as long a drive.

I hear several teams are looking to move to EAL in the Spring:
http://www.glasasoccer.org/eal/
•Each game will have 3-person crews of competitive-level referees
•Teams are eligible for all NTSSA-sanctioned tournaments
•Schedule requests taken in order to work with coaches with mutliple teams in EAL and competitive leagues
•Use of Gotsoccer for online registration, game schedules, posting scores, and record keeping
•Referee fees included in registration cost
•Nets and corner flags provided by GLASA
•Game Scheduler and Referee Assignor: Dominic Falcinelli (940) 297-5692

#1 issue with EAL is that if you have multiple teams you cannot float players back and forth to get kids more playing time.
Otherwise it looks like a great option. Also closer to the house.

That isn't as big of a deal for us as our teams play Futsal at Sportsplex and sometimes 3v3 leagues at Blue Sky. But I see your point.

Rosales' TIE vs. TBG &/or their 2-1 Victory Over Solar-Kennington is a Better Indicator, in My Humble Opinion...
