I saw the wierdest thing today at Railroad Park

First off everyone knows that at Railroad park they have soccer fields,baseball fields, football, skateboard park and a dog park....well while watching a game I witnessed a lady with her 2 huge dogs on a leash walk her dogs across the middle of not only one but two soccer fields while both fields had games going. When I say walk...I mean she walked right thru one game at about the 18 box and right down the 50yd line of the other. Refs stopped games, and coaches and parents were in disbelief...she was apparently to lazy to walk around to get to dog park. I so wish I would of got a pic and posted it!

I think you were confused... The dogs were walking the lady and the dogs didn't know any better...

I don't know about that...she had enough control to stop twice and argue with coaches and refs!

Wow. Just...wow.

I was there also and I am still trying to figure what the heck happened... it was a wow moment. All I can think is;

1) she is mentally deranged.
2) she was pissed that between baseball and soccer all the dog park parking spots had been taken.
3) she was blind, stupid and whatever else we can think of
4) she was visiting from another planet
5) she had the biggest dogs and couldnt care less...

it was pretty amazing...

It would actually be kind of funny if her reason was because there was not any parking at the dog park and she was trying to make a point of it.

Yeah, the parents and coaches all yelled at her, but with those huge dogs she had...I'm sure she felt quite safe from us petty soccer parents! Amazingly, no one approached her!

I'm bringing a tennis ball next time my kids play at rr. That outta speed up the crossing

Maybe the girls should go play soccer in the dog park, so the dog people know how the soccer people feel.

Our game today was the one she walked right across mid-field (Texans '01G North vs. Sting East '01G)...

She was b!@#chn about all of the soccer players parking in the dog park/skate park lot. In her defense, there are signs at the entrances to that lot saying that is only for the dog & skate park, and while she was walking over I saw two parents cross the street to the soccer fields from that lot...

Clearly not the best or classiest way to handle it though IMO...

It also didn't help that there was some sort of contest/exhibition going on at the skate park today as well...

I thought it was pretty funny..lol..it was kinda funny but also scary in a way. Maybe it was a ghost of railroad park??? I heard she showed up at the football fields too..and when she yelling at the refs it was frighting...paronormal activity 5

I got out with DD and a woman with a huge dog just starting yelling at me about "moving my truck right now!!"
That woman scared the crap outta me so now I'm always thankful that they are fenced in at the dog park.
I still say the fence is for the owners not the dogs.

Thanks for letting me know about the parking signs over on the dog park side. While I haven't ever parked there it's good to know for the future.

She wouldn't have thought it so funny if a player came barreling over her or kicked a ball in her head because she walked through an active game esp these older kids games.

And they soccer parents are crazy/scary! Its too bad none of the scary ones showed up on her like they occasionally do on other soccer parents.

I must say it is annoying, because I take my dog there, when there is no parking signs quite clearly visable say no soccer parking. I'm a coach as well and I'm sure I would have chalked that up as one of those crazy moments that happen and laughed

I think the problem was all the events going on at RR that weekend. They had baseball games, AFC tourney, a huge animal adoption event, plus the regulars that visit the dog & skate park on the weekends. Parking was extremely limited for all.

My youngest dd's game was there on Sunday and parking was limited on Sunday. Sunday had less games so I can only imagine what it looked like on Saturday.

I don't care who you are. A parent being able to watch their child play a soccer game instead of circling the parking lot, is always going to be way more important than someone being able to walk their dog. Let's get back to reality here. We are talking about dogs, not humans. Dog people are crazy and I agree they need their own parking lot. Just make it in the middle of BFE and keep the crazy dog people away from me. At a place like Railroad, on a weekend like last weekend, all parking spots are up for grabs. If you want to park in your dog lot, you gotta beat the soccer moms to it.

I would have been laughing as well...glad my dd didn't see either...she would have left the goal unattended to go pet the dogs I am sure...She is your typical "oh, look at the cute little puppy wuppy" kinda 9 yr old

That's funny, I wonder what that lady would have done if a bunch of 9 and 10 yr old girls ran up to the dog to pet it and say how cute it was. Could she maintain her bitchy attitude around all those sweet puppy loving kids? Hmm?

There were numerous open parking spots on the North end of Railroad on Saturday.
