Moss Park Today Empty Moss Park Today

Post by weatherbug 25/01/12, 06:24 pm

Take a look at this news footage of flooding at Moss Park today. It kind of makes me laugh that teams will be playing games on that in a few weeks! Shocked (or I guess some new Sting teams will be waiting for it to dry out for practice!)

I don't get why you all are complaining about Moss Park all the time. If you look closely at the end of this video you can see somebody out there painting the lines.

Ironically if games had been scheduled they would have likely played anyhow. Home team wears the life vest.

I bet the fields are softer! The city should collect some of that water and use it at a later time!

Because of the extent of the flooding fields will be closed until 2/2. At that date, will reassess.

We have our first spring game scheduled there on 2/11. I did a quick search and found some public Facebook photos on a Moss Park Trail page. The pic of the shopping carts stuck in the trees from the flooding is classic Moss Park. The comments are that there is a lot of debris to clear from the park.

On second thought, maybe those are just the storage spots for the carts? Question

I just posted this on another thread, but thought it was worth sharing again. Taken from a Harry Moss Park Facebook page posted this morning:

E85 is the ethanol limit on Chrysler vehicles. Exceeding that voids the warranty.

I had a Range Rover I used to drive through the Guadeloupe River near Austin. I'd put the entire hood underwater and it never missed a beat. That Jeep driver, however, would probably drown or get washed out before that silly pipe got wet.

Went by Moss today. Fields dry just not mowed or lined. I guess it is to much to ask that the City of Dallas actually do anything to try and meet there contractual obligations. Not that their fields are anything to write home about even when open. Why does LHGCL continue this relationship?
