Ways to help your child acquire skills faster
Re: Ways to help your child acquire skills faster
This would be great to see on the field of play. Problem is if they use this type of skill here in North Texas. A few things will happen.fsmagic10 wrote:It has become easier than ever to help your child be good at the game
1. Coach will not let them do it on the field of practice.
2.If they perform them and fail on the game field. They will be benched and yelled at!
3. If they do them on the game field and they work against a player. They (player performimg skill) will be put on their back fairly quickly. With no call from ref!
I do however like the program.

I believe that to be true!fsmagic10 wrote:I will bet that when you are good enough to be able to create space and score goals, no one will say anything. No one. Problems arise when you are not good enough at what you are trying, which is why i present you with this opportunity. Adopt the mentality that "Development" is what YOU do to make yourself good.
Thus, the carpet. Make yourself good!

Which is why you commit to the type of player you want your child to be. And find other avenues for them to use this creativity.

Unfortunately, I can not tell you any coach or team. In fact I took one of my kids completely out of the system and he only plays tournaments with teams. I recommend Ferdie, futsal, 3v3, and possibly rec. But, I don't recommend any of those without someone like Ferdie. If your kids don't learn ball control then the ball is controlling them. While 11 v 11 is fun to learn it is not the best for creating the individual player. So... no matter which team we have chosen for each of our kids Ferdie has been unbelievable in the department for teaching them ball control and we also use Soccer Dynamic. On the weekends, we play futsal for fun (and playing for a coach ruins the fun). And yes, my kids get punished for using their creative skills and then benched. But, with my oldest, who has always been one of the smallest in her age group the skills are paying off. She is a big part of the offense and has been a contributor in each goal scored in the fall.
