It's an 8GG, so this makes a ton of sense, if of course, it is broken up into a D1 and D2.The down side of not doing it is parents complaining that their team might have to play one of the top teams in each division twice.

FYI... Last Spring, U10 TGPL was 8 team Gold/8 team Silver. Played each team in your division 1 time, then week 8 was "playoffs" 1 v 2, 3 v 4, 5 v 6, 7 v 8.

I'm pretty sure Primetime has always set up TGPL with the 7 games + playoff week format.
