Here is my opinion on where teams should be ranked. I think some have Polaris at this time ranked to high. I commend them for their great showing this weekend but they only won the silver bracket. They haven't played the top 10 teams and won. This weekend will be their test. If they do well then I think they might just need to move on up. I moved Moreno down with all the up in the air with this team I am not sure they will be able to make games in a few weeks let alone be a team. I think TX Spirit needs to move up for winning against LP. LP StJohn losing to TX Spirit in the finals and tying LP Dalglish drops them in my rankings. LP StJohn should have won hands down. I moved Sting up into the top 10. I think with all their new addition this team is going to move on up.
This weekend will shake up the bottom 5 and down. It will be a very interesting weekend that is for sure.
Polaris has beaten a top ten team!!!!! Dt Moreno was ranked 6th on FBR and they had Higgy goalie and 4-5 field players playing that game with them. Very even game till second half when Polaris dominated. Polaris has several shots on goal. DT Moreno had none. I don't think Polaris is ranked too low, just underestimated in what this team is capable of. Spring will definitely tell the story for this Polaris team. Good Luck to everyone.
I am not trying to take anything away from Polaris because I really like their parents and coach and am really impressed how far they have come and think they are diffently a top ten team. BUT....At the Moreno game there were two new players and two higg players including the goalie at that game NOT 4-5 field players that kickinthegrass keeps stating.
Moreno looked good to me - why can't the naysayers leave that team alone?

Reality Check!
I guess I could get on here and start promoting my dd's club but I prefer she leave it on the field. ('')

02 rankings
dirknowitzki wrote:1. SRSA (fierce, but long ball reliance a worry against teams with very fast back line, new coach, new adreneline)
2. FCD Grubb (total package, really good coaching)
3. DT Higg* (* until they play 02 girls, they may just sit at #3 or 4 or 5 until proven otherwise, but watchout for the return of the Huns)
4. DT South (on a roll last fall, are they ready to challenge the big 3?)
5. Solar Dynamo (good coach results in best passing-possession in league but smaller kids than rest of top 10)
6. Defeeters (no clear slots IMHO 6 - 10 but Feet have good potential, rumor is need 2 players...)
7. Polaris (giving a lot of credit for one 1-0 result and good silver tourneys in a row - need to win it all this next weekend to stay here)
8. Liverpool St John (clinging on but might be falling soon - not sure where they are at after Liverpool move)
9. Fever Red (could be rising soon, need to see in action)
10. FCD Renfro (tough defense need more offense)
11. DT Moreno (will it stay together? team most likely to fold? will they find at least 4 more good fulltime playrs? If they do, they will move up)
12. TX Spirit (big and aggressive)
13. Sting Searls (in limbo ranking until all the new recruit are seen playing together)
14. Waco Blast (hard to find where they should land)
15. Sting Dunstan (like the coaching)
16. TFC Elite
17. Solar Gio (on the rise, finishing in tournaments)
18. Solar Barnes (very physical)
19. Solar Jones
20. Cosmos (tough team)
21. TFC Larry
22. DT Vigil (rough go recently but may come back)
23. Sting West OKeefe
24. Sting Parker (poised to move up)
25. FCD Palm
26. XLR8 (underrated by many)
27. Fever White
28. Dynasty
29. Solar Stark (getting better fast)
30. FCD Barakat
After two weekends of tournaments and encl what changes in rankings have happen?

Re: Human Rankings until FBR is back
1. FCD Premier (just like how they play. may not win every game, but they win most.)
2. Higgy (always tough and seems to have a lot of talent to choose from)
3. SRSA (gotta respect the results. but rumors are abound. how long do they remain here)
4. South (good team. fast up top and even faster at the sweeper position. really hard to score on)
5. Fever (the tie to South says a lot. probably over looked because they are not a big club)
6. Polaris (gotta give a bit of respect. they are playing well)
7. Dynamo (once these girls hit their growth spurt....watch out!)
8. Liverpool Rangel- (played well this weekend, but were they playing with their players)
9. Moreno- Still has some really good talent. just gotta wait and see)
10. Waco, Renfro or Searls? Waco is playing TGPL so we will see how they do....same with Searls. Renfro made it to the finals this weekend, but didn't do too well, and didn't do too well in the previous tournament. so, which team are they?)
13. Feet- (tough couple of tourneys)
14. Solar Gio- (another tournament win this week albeit in the easier tournament. some new additions have sparked this team.)
15. NTX Spirit- (hear good things)
There ya go. Bash away!

Re: Human Rankings until FBR is back
1. FCD Grubb (rock solid)
2. SRSA Colvin (will all kids stay is a big ? with Webb out)
3. DT South (moved up with Higg hiding out)
4. DT Higg (in hiding but you know they are out there)
5. Fever Red Penn (good weekend, tough seeding)
6. Polaris (they be for real, hard to score against)
7. Solar Dynamo (stubbed toe a bit last weekend)
8. Liverpool St John (proved solid in top 10 discussion)
9. FCD Renfro (not sure how much of good weekend was due to guests from DT Moreno)
10. Defeeters (dropping off a bit, not a good showing)
11. Solar Gio (winning easier tournaments, can't rise more until they play tougher competition)
12. TX Spirit
13. Sting Searls (missing in action, want to see all the new group soon)
14. Waco Blast
15. TFC Elite
Not ranked - DT Moreno (on life-support, not playing primetime, needed guests to even play 11v11, feels like its over?)

Re: Human Rankings until FBR is back
1. FCD Premier....doing very well against 01's & 02's--enough said
2. DT Rowdies...They always stay together and are so talented. Fun to watch
3. SRSA Colvin..again for now..if they lose a couple pieces I think DT South is better
4. DT South...all they do is win. Speed, offense, defense, tough to play against
5. Fever Red Penn...tied South, love how they play. They are really good.
6. Polaris...beat Dynamo and had a great, great weekend. Also fun to watch.
7. Liverpool Rangel..no team plays with more effort/energy. Good weekend. Need a scorer.
8. Solar Dynamo...I think Polaris/Liverpool/Dynamo are even steven..flip a coin
9. D'feeters..more so on past than this weekend. Battle tested, but trouble scoring
10. FCD Renfro...great weekend with guests..couldn't score last weekend without guests.
Just outside the Top 10...Sting Searls, TX Spirit, Solar Gio, TFC Elite

Spring will be fun.
Yeah putting Gio up is a bit aggressive but I don't want to get caught out on "Gio is like Polaris II da sequel" story. Polaris was building confidence eating up silver brackets and bamm they arrived in top 10. Gio is doing that same thing now. Confidence is a powerful thing and the Gio girls gotta have it after trophys in 3? in a row. They need to take on tougher soon.On the thought of tougher competition, does TGPL allow teams like Searls to share girls between his teams in gold and silver? If yes, it will be difficult to know how tough a certain team will be on a given week if they are pooling 20+ players.

You sound like Polaris coach? People are saying Polaris is hard to score against. Wonder what the planis is when their fast sweeper moves to North Dallas in March?
Polaris is getting some wins, so I will give them the credit for top 10, but I watched them play this weekend and it is definitely "send it" type soccer at it's finest. Send it to speed up top with defenders booting up field or kicking it out of bounds. Never saw 2 passes connected.
Did I catch them on 2 bad days, or is this how they generally play?

Sole, you seem to know quite a bit about Polaris. How would you know where any of the players is going in March? You seem to know more than the team parents. Care to share?

Sole Roll may have something here! One player leaving, I am sure no other team has had this happen. Besides Polaris is just plain lucky, Sun got in keepers eye, all the other players fell down, so Polaris scored a lucky goal is what I hear. I mean really do they even know how to play soccer. Seems rec-ball to me, boot it and pray according to Sole Roll. I guess they don't have a clue what real soccer is, they are over hyped and should be ranked in the bottom of the whole age group. Nothin but a bunch of Tarrant county toe kickers. Where does this team come from and how dare they get lucky beating teams they should have no business being on the field with. Who do they think they are? Sole Roll I am with you on this team. But, I was so interested about Polaris being lucky and a team that obviously can't play soccer so, I looked at their got soccer history to see how bad they suck, like Sole Roll suggests.
They are 17-1 all the last games they have played and have scored 41 goals and allowed 3 against. Come on guys this teams stinks to high heaven and obviously Sole Roll is a soccer expert so let's get off the Polaris band wagon, according to their record, they suck.
Yes this is sarcasm !!!!!!
Just my opinion based on what crap I read on this forum and the recorded records of the teams that are out there. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
