Uncle - I agree with your assessment that if you wanted your daughter to win a college scholarship today that 5 years ago you definitely wanted your daughter playing for Texans, Sting and Feet.

Maybe this is a seperate string but are these 3 clubs still trending in the right direction? Not worrying about a scholarship today and instead a college scholarship 5 years from now, would you still pick the same 3 clubs? I know it's not fair to demand you see into the future but you did mention FC Dallas.

Which clubs are trending the right way? Are Defeeters trending downward? Have the Texans reached a saturation point? If Texans, Sting, and Feet are the top 3 clubs for the oldest age groups today... which will be the top three clubs for girls 3, 5, and 7 years from now? Will FC Dallas, Solar, Liverpool or some other club move into the top 3 spots during that time? Which clubs have the most momentum?

I know predicting the future is impossible but my DD is young so I'm more interested in what's on the horizon.
I heard that Mega hasn't graduated their first set of girls yet but 90% of their girls will receive scholarships and 50% will be full schollies. That's a great figure but I guarantee you that they aren't the right fit for a lot of girls.
I thought I saw a player from FC Mega on the fields once but I can't be sure. I tried approaching her but it was like staring into the sun. I tried to take a picture of her but when I went to have the photos developed the machine malfunctioned. The developer said he'd never had that issue and that he was frightened. He said it was almost as if the photos themselves didn't want to be developed. He said the machine started hissing and growling at him.

Interesting list. Odd how Chicago Fire got their Jrs on the boys list when other MLS academies weren't allowed. FC Dallas would obviously be the top boys academy in the country. Of course that could change with Oscar Pareja leaving for Colorado.

I have to be honest now... I don't really know what I saw. I don't even remember that much about what happened. I remember walking to the car with my wife when I spotted something out of the corner of my eye. It was like a twinkle. I said to my wife, "Is that a unicorn?" and I started walking towards what I saw. I remember having a camera and then... and then... I woke up in the Emergency Room. I remember the doctor telling me that "Whatever you did last weekend, you should never do again."

I know many of you will have questions but I just can't remember anything else.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Hold on Mr. Gunners, not true. Sting, Solar and Texans are strong and are competing at the ECNL level (U14 and up). Sting is consistently doing the best in ECNL, Solar is competing, Texans doing favorable. Hassan is no longer getting Solar girls as in the past, they are having to develop internally. The pipeline is not looking good from the stats below:

At U13 LHGCL as of today: Solar Chelsea Red 1st, 2nd Solar Chelsea Stavro , 3rd Solar Blue - Just looking at the standings, Texans are 6th Place, 17 points out of first. Times have changed.

At U12 LHGCL - Solar Red tied for 1st (with a game to spare), Solar and Texan tied for 3rd.

At U11 LHGCL - Tied for First, Solar Bates(one less game) and FCD Premier and Sting, Texans are 7th (12 points out of first). Solar has two teams in the Top 5.

At U10 - Top Teams are FCD Premier, Solar has two teams in the Top 5, Texans are 3rd or 4th objectively.

U9 - by a wide margin is Solar Red, and DT South, by no means the traditional the Texans North team.

You are right on when it comes to the younger age groups. Looks like solar is dominating most LHGCL however in the older age groups it looks like The Texans and sting are dominating. Liverpool only leads in one division in LHGCL and that's U14. So I would say if you had to choose a club right now for your youger DD it should be either Sting, Solar, or the Texans. Until Liverpool starts to compete on a regular basis in all the select age groups the other three are a better choice right now, that's not to say in 3 to 5 years it won't change and Liverpool won't be at the top.

I realize I am biased but FC Dallas is the best club. The fields are enough alone, but in addition to that the philosophy of development(why don't more youth coaches emphasize this), free tickets to FCD games, great looking unis, and quality coaching (I told you I as biased) also help to make it the best.

There can be no best club for girls, as all girls are not the same and have different needs and locations. This is a completely relative argument, as the best club for girl A may not be the best club for girl B.

The season is underway, are we really this bored to come up with these stupid threads. What is next, which company logo is the best, who has the best shinguard color?

Is that free tickets to all home games?

If Texans, Sting, and Feet are the top 3 clubs for the oldest age groups today... what we be the top 3 clubs 3, 5, and 7 years from now? Will FC Dallas, Solar, Liverpool or some other club move into the top 3 spots during that time? Which clubs have the most momentum?

I know predicting the future is impossible but my DD is young so I'm more interested in what's on the horizon.

Hold on goal patrol are you cooking the number on purpose Suspect . I thought that didn't seem right so I checked.

U-14 liverpool in 1st place by 4 points with a game in hand.
U-12 liverpool in 1st place by 3 points as reported on the website of course.

They ever return all that cash they soaked from parents for a new complex before the move to Frisco?

LP are up by 3 pts in standings on SR with a game in hand having played last night. SR plays tonight and everyone should expect a photo finish by season end. Will SR repeat as Grand Champions?

U14 is the start of ECNL and LP are not an elite club member. This dilutes LHGCL competition tremendously. It is great to see LP holding the top spot over American Eagle.

From u14 and up ECNL gives a huge competitive edge to all the elite club members for top players.

How is that you are replying back to a "What is the best club for Girls" thread and you are only bringing up one coach? Yes, CP is a good coach, but one coach doesn't get the club a presence on the national stage. Heck, I would expect the success, especially after the top 100 players went to play in the ELITE club national league.

CP's teams could compete very well in ECNL, but how long will he hold back his players by staying at LP? He only stayed at FC for two years...

The season is underway, are we really this bored to come up with these stupid threads. What is next, which company logo is the best, who has the best shinguard color?

the poster was not involved with FCD prior to FCD park being built. I do have Clark Hunt's number if you want to call him. We'd all love to hear about that call!

It's really about what's best for your DD at the time, and there are many factors that determine it.
But in my experience to date it's usually the parent(s) that screw it up for their DD.

The coach should be almost the utmost important factor when choosing a club. There are several great clubs to choose from, and each have their share of good coaches, tactically astute, personable, passionate, etc...as well as poor ones. Having the knowledge to know which one to choose might be hard for some to come by..(being able to correctly analyze the astute ones from the not-so, hollywood passes, wrong ones) The Coach is the key.
