Backdraft you are an idiot. How can you be so sure that this is not the best thing for us? So if we stayed at Polaris our checks would get to stay with us? Was it going to be free? So your point is what? Screw us for wanting more for our DD. You can not fault us for seeking a higher level of training. One of the reasons for the move is that. Polaris was in the process of taking this team away from AF. Polaris itself thought AF was not a good fit. So was we suppose to sit back and let Polaris decide our fate or whomever they felt like coaching our DD's? To that we say HELL NO!! There is no one else that could handle this job there. DOn't worry about Backdraft...I've never seen him post anything that wasn't idiotic. I think most of us just ignore him. You will not just be a number at FC Dallas.

Better think again. FCD cares nothing about their South teams. Never have. But you'll learn that soon enough. And Polaris has been "taking" this team from AF for years. Because it's only been getting stronger right? Makes sense.

I'm sorry 02dad - what did I steal? I did not steal anything from Amos. It's easy to sit on the outside and not know the details and hurl accusations. Again, I won't go into details. Amos knows exactly who I am and exactly how I felt in this situation. What part of my conversations with Amos were you a part of? When have ypu asked Amos about my role in this? Once again, sit in your glass house with partial information and pass judgment. If it makes you feel better have at it.

What exactly do you think FC Dallas is going to do Special for your child or team? I already know what they are going to do. Is because of your guilt of comprising of your own standards. Trust me FC Dallas is fully aware of the people they have brought over to FC Dallas South and what the group of parents is capable of doing. They will pick you off one at a time. The few that are actually good enough to play at the highest levels. Which is 2 maybe 3 will be moving on in due time. Now people/parents will be known and branded trouble makers. Too bad you all could not been a little more straight up with this guy! Now on the good side of things. Your new coach knows how to divide and conquer problem parents. AF was not skilled at that. Please stop. This situation is done AF will not coach an 02 team ever. Thanks for all the support and criticism but the choice was made the deal is done, there is nothing that can be done but move on for both sides. Let's not subject anymore conversations to something that is not going to change. Again thanks for all the support for AF.

Parents know how do develop players and know what is best for all the DD on the team and the coach should just facilitate the parents directions, egos, and desires for their DD and team, they do pay the coach so they should call the shots in how the team should run practices and line up on the field, wait.... they pay the coach, for what??? the coach should pay the parents for the honor of coaching their DD, wait...I am so confused he was your coach and friend and was a great thing for your DD until..........______________ happen.

This is true. The thread caught my eye, and I apologize if the opinion of someone late in the game is unwelcome. You know what's more important at U11 than skill development, and winning games, what league she plays in, and all that stuff? It's that your kid develops a true love for the game. If these parents think that's at FCD then I wish them the best. I personally think, in club terms, that they've walked away from the small club experience far too soon.

I know from personal experiene Polaris knows how to screw up a good team! Back in the day we had a group that had the potential to be special and it blew up. And AF had some sort of hand in it even though he wasn't the coach.
Oh, and a over involved parent/mgr had a bigger hand in it. Most of us went our own ways, so be these 02 should be thankful they were able to stay together.
Lots of truths in these posts. Lots of rationalizations too. Things like this don't go down without some snakes in the grass starting it....

It's soccer, won't be the first time, won't be the last but rumor mill says one snake who has been at every club in south Fort Worth, not the manager, is the culprit. Hopefully the team can work through it and move forward, strong bunch of players and a new strong coach who hopefully can destroy the snake den!!!
