And I thought they were trying to win the tournament. I think they won more than 1 game and beat an undefeated team in the finals that they lost to earlier in the tournament. Hottest I'm sorry Gio's winning the tournament was not done in a manner that is up to your obviously high standards. Perhaps you should setup your own tournament and designate the requirements for winning.

No hating here APE. Just looks like the Gio parents work their mouths more than what the kids work the ball, thats all! Suggestion practice a little more maybe they can try your dd's personal trainer.

WAY TO GO GIO!! Best of luck in the final!!

Hope you have everyone next weekend. You will need them. Twisted Evil

I'd like to see that. Wouldn't it be fun to have an annual parents' tournament - with plenty of medical personnel and police.

Nope PACKRAT! They won 1 , lost 2, tie an 03' and won final to an out of state team. Great win, you still in 12th place so you wont make LHGL Division 1. Now continie to shout and holler so you can continue to loose your kids games.

Umm.....Top 20 make D1 first year.....
Some considered to be shoe-ins will fall short; some ranked out of top 20 will make.

Get ready.
Reality hits soon.

They won 1 and won final. That's more than 1 win I think. You are repeating they tied an 03 team. SRSA is a great team. I would guess 90% of the 02 teams would lose to them. How many other teams beat or tied SRSA in the tournament? And then they beat an out of town team in final - why is that bad? Winning in the finals against an out of town team doesn't count? How many other teams n the tournament beat TSC?

Solar Gio is in 12th place of what? I don't understand what that means and what that has to do with Lake Highlands D1.

I am not a Gio parent, and I don't understand where your anger is coming from. Did a Gio parent say something to you you didn't like? Even if they did, I will still congratulate the team on winning, just as I would have congratulated any other winning team in the tournament.

I am not sure why GIO gets a bad rap on this board; however, I do remember some of the solar Tarrant parents being mouthy in the past and they may have ruined their reputation here. I think GIO is a solid 10-20 ranked team.

They played the tournament, just like the rest. No they didn't run the table but they won it. So people said "good job". Where's the injustice? Please explain how they screwed over all the other team for paying the fee, showing up, and winning the tourny by the rules.

No one from that team came on here and dogged the opposition and claimed the were the greatest team ever.

My understanding is that Gio runs great practices and even brings in other coaches to help with skills and shooting. His girls get input from many different coaches and maybe that IS WHY they are winning.

Sounds like there may be some Gio players looking for a team. They have been getting a lot of interest lately.
