So you would want your dd on a top ten team where she gets little playing time and the coach doesn't work to help her develop her skills? That would be better than a non top 10 team with a coach that helps the players develop the skills they will need to be top players as they get older?

Re: Tryout day
Just because your DD doesn't get a contract from one team, it isn't the end of the world. Most coaches will leave a spot or two open on their roster for after signing day. Experienced coaches are aware that there will be good "free agents" still available after the initial batch of contracts are signed.cmarfar wrote:So what happens when tryout day comes around and the coach notifies you that dd did not make the team? Is there still a chance to get her on another team or is that it and your out of luck since I'm assuming most teams would be formed and completed by then?
The thinking for some coaches... it's better to sign 14 and leave 2 spots open for free agents then to sign a 15th kid that won't play much.
You'll need to do some extra leg-work to find the right team at that point though. If possible, try to get settled with the right team now and save your family the aggrevation of shopping for a 1-off spot.
Just in case you're worried she's going to miss the cut, it's probably better not to put all your eggs in one basket.

Re: Tryout day
However, we will be a team that builds a family environment where the players are the most important part, and the coach will work to develop the players and ensure that they have a love for the game, grow in self-confidence and develop their soccer skills.

I agree. Also, you should've kicked that uppity coach in the sack for leading you on.lostntexas wrote:Yes, If your DD is on that level ..Everybodys DD is a D1 player
