No blinders friend.
I have first hand knowledge as to how the system works as I have been involved for 10+ years in said process.

You are right, I was just dreaming last year. I wish all the '02's luck this year and am happy we don't have to repeat that process.

Oh yeah... well I've got a third-cousin, who's got a friend, who's mother's uncle, knows a guy who's sister has a daughter, who dated the coach from a club, who's former manager's husband sat next to a Lake Highlands seeding committee member on a plane, and while taxiing to the gate, overheard the board member discuss on her cell phone that Lake Highlands was switching exclusively to "One potato, Two potato..." for QT seeding this year.
So take THAT Sparky!

That hits close to home bwgopher... I actually did sit next to a LH committee member a couple months ago on a plane from LA to San Diego.
I don't recall him mentioning the potato method though.

You are correct...
Polaris has jumped in.
Puts the QT at 45 teams now.

That's because it's supposed to be a secret... SHHHHHH!!!!!
My source tells me that a lot of the phone conversation centered around how Lake Highlands would handle the case of a coach having less that two hands. They discussed using only a single-handed potato mashing system, but some thought that skewed the probability matrix too much. I heard in the end, they decided that if they ever ended up with a coach with less than 2 hands, that they would allow the coach to send a proxy to the seeding committee meeting.
Another bone of contention was how the potato circle order was determined. I have it on good authority that Lake Highlands has contracted Watson to develop a proprietary algorithm based on fractal geometry and neural net training. I tried to get Watson to spill the beans to me, but the only thing I could get out of him was that the algorithm was highly weighted towards the square of the distance between the team managers home address and Chinn Chapel.
Again, keep this on the DL homey...

I think Polaris was actually added late, because the website showed 136 total teams registered as of yesterday and today it says 137.okiedokie wrote:There are 45 teams in the 02 group. A team was listed in the 01's that will be moved to the 02's by tomorrow.

Totalsoccer which '01 team were you coaching last year such that Lake Highlands needed your input on seeding? I thought you were just a parent like the rest of us.

4-4-2 Why so cynical and defensive or aggressive depending on a point of view? Guess what? It is very possible that LH folks reach out to various people/parents/coaches to get an over all picture. I guess since they haven't contacted you, then it's just not possible that it could happen to anyone else. Nuke 'em and total soccer have been very logical and fair posters from day one. Maybe they are well know in the NTX soccer world.
