A BIG THANK YOU FROM OUR FAMILY!!

Every once in a while it feels good to read about something positive on this forum.
Our family would like to reach out to the "Meja 97" team that was playing this past Saturday around 7:45pm at the Red, Hot and Blue tourney on field "L" and give the parent/doctor that helped with our daughters concussion on the field a big THANK YOU. Your information to the paramedics helped for sure. Wanted to let him know that she is fine now and ready to get back on the pitch. Even as the storms rolled in and everyone was running to their cars he stayed behind to help.

Please be careful with your DD's return to training post concussion. When my DD had a Grade 1 concussion (lowest grade), her physician suggested 1-week of headache free time prior to returning to training. The likelihood of a concussion reoccurrence is greater (1) following a concussion and (2) following a succession of concussions. Our DD's brain health trumps an early return to the field.

That person who helping the injured player is with the Meja Martinez 97 Boys Team. He is a Class Act! I am glad that your DD is doing better!

Good to hear that your daughter is doing well. It's good to know that their are parents that still do the right thing. A player on our 99 Girls has had two knocks on the head and this concussion thing with girls and soccer and the NBC special on this subject freaks me out a lot. There are some exercises that help to reduce the chances that a parent sent to me that I think the Soccer community should be doing to help reduce the chances on these injuries. Prayers sent out to your daughter she's a great little girl. Hope to see you guys this weekend. In Puma.
