They didn't charge last year.

They did to charge last year for Tut. I went and watched a friends dd play several games and had to pay for parking. It's not something new for FCD. They charge for all their tournaments there.

Yes they charge for parking.....these are the nicest fields in town. Nice fields do not come cheap.

Seeing as these are city owned fields (not owned by FCD) and as a resident I want my parking fee back as I already pay to maintain these fields.

Why should the city and county governments be subsidizing any private enterprise? Let the people who use them pay for them. I'd rather the parking fees be doubled before I pay any more in taxes to maintain them. And what about all the people who use these fields that don't even live in Frisco or Collin County and don't pay any taxes that would go toward field maintenance. That's what tournament fees are for! I would have been more relaxed about paying the $5 if the Field Tyrants had let me stab my sport-brella in the ground during games on grass (I get why they do that on turf).

So maybe it wouldn't be so easy as you think! Just saying!

FWIW... My DD's team (Sting '01 Hanks) has played FCD Premier '02, Solar Red '02, and Texans '02, in one incarnation or another over the past couple of years. Every game has been very competitive and decided by 1 goal or less. During that time, we've always been considered somewhere around the 15-20th best team in the '01's.

The point I am making is that based on my personal experience and observations, all 3 of those '02 teams are reasonably similar strength and have been for the past 2 years or so. I'm sure there have been some fluctuations, but nothing significant from what I have seen.

The good news is that over the next 9-10 months, all 3 of those teams will play each other, as well as 17 other common opponents. It will all sort itself out.

that is correct. The 02's won every game against 01's. Then went to a shootout and lost 3-1 in the pk's. It was 0-0 going into pk's.

I was just going off what was posted on gotsoccer Puma Cup link...it said final score was 3-1. Usually if it goes to PKs it posts the score as 0-0 and or sometimes 1-0. I wasn't at the game so I have no idea and I haven't seen any posts until just now about it going to PKs.

The King-Tut Tune Up is not a championship event designed to provide viewing opp for matchup(s) you most want to see in order to determine who the "top" '02 club team is. Rather, it is a pre-season 'friendly-style' warm-up, and most coaches who enter it do so for the purpose(s) of: the opportunity it provides to figure out in a real game setting both what is working and what needs work before next weekend when league-fates are determined; and/or to demonstrate their team's play-quality to the LH seeding committee (which also plays a role in determining that league-fate). So get over yourself until May, by which time league play/standings and/or state cup games will give you the matchups you feel yourself entitled to see.

Higg and FCD are both great teams. And when they play their best no one can touch them. Higg didn't score alot on weeker teams. The reason... when the weeker teams get down by 2 goals they will pack the box. I can tell you it's hard to score a goal with 10 girls inside the 18. Both of the teams are heads and shoulders over the 02 group. I really do not see Higg or FCD losing a game till they play one another next year.

Sounds like Higg was tested good yesterday.

All the 02 teams were tested this weekend. Higg did very well, yes they had their backs against the wall in some games, but they came out on top like they should have.

Touchy touchy...I just happened to see a few of the games at KING TUT...not Puma...and the teams FCD were playing were really not very good. Not saying FCD is bad or should not have played up...in fact, they would have got some awesome competition in '00. Had south and colvin showed up it would have been a great bracket for those top teams. But from what I am reading there has to be a bit of "ducking"...
