Why youth soccer gets a bad name - Page 2 Empty Re: Why youth soccer gets a bad name

Post by Lawnboy 14/08/12, 11:19 am

I just got around to checking out the blog. Only managed to make it through the first two posts. No way this could be real. Somebody's getting great giggles out of their new fiction career. Doubt this author is even female.

Probably a coach. Definitely funny satire. Although I have met this person on numerous teams...

Why youth soccer gets a bad name - Page 2 Empty Soccer's version of Dance Moms

Post by Tiki-taka 14/08/12, 11:37 am

I love it! It would be even greater if some of the other team moms/dads found out and started making comments! Dance Moms comes to Soccer!

If it's fake, kudos for the level of details and scenarios, well played!

Enquiring minds want to know: what is KCSA? where is this step up? Will Britanny tape over one of her #1's just to get back at the Manager's daughter. Why isn't Britany's Mom the manager, she is obviously well qualified and will ensure that everyone knows where to sit during practices. Will academy Silver replace the Olympic Team? Does the coach rank each player just like Dance Moms? If Britanny is 4th in ranking will she still be allowed to live at home?

Classic!

I'm pretty sure I know who it is - good satire.

Genius...

"Sparkly headbands were on sale so I loaded up on them. After each game Britts likes to give her game-worn headband to the little girls who watch her play. It must be a thrill for the kids and it’s the least she can do."

To see a role model give back to the kids is something special.

And that's exactly the reason why Brittany should always be #1.

i feel so lame for having gotten sucked into this - reading your posts, then reading the blog, and then to take it a step further and start googling kcsa myself!!

i turned up a soccer forum in south carlina going on about it the same way we are!

http://www.scsoccer.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=161543&Main=161513

as for my 2 cents, i dont think it is over the top enough to be fake. there are those among us not too far off.

If you look at who introduced the blog on this forum, the Ohio forum, and the South Carolina forum it's BillWill922 or Bill Wilson. More than likely the same person who is writing the Blog? BillWill, do you want to come out of the writer's closet now?

think you're on to something there. They also registered for the forum here the same day they posted this info.

self-promotion, trying to get viral and popular.

it is funny reading, as it does hold true to so many folks we run into.
