'04 FBR Rankings - 10/18/12

As it Applies to these Rankings, TGPL Play Is & SHOULD Be Weighed Heavier...My DD has Played TGPL, EAL & Even a Couple SDL Games, Fall 2012...

The Level of Competition in TGPL is Night & Day, from the Other Leagues...That's NOT to Say there Aren't Good Players & Teams in Other Leagues...But Come Out to a RANDOM TGPL Game & your Eyes WON'T Lie...

The Biggest Difference is the DEPTH of the Rosters...The WORST Girl on a Typical TGPL Team would Likely Be a Top 3-5 Player On Any Other '04 Squad, Probably HIGHER...

I was Completely NEW to Competitive Soccer Until my DD Started Playing a Few Years Ago, & I've Learned that The TRUE Measure of a Soccer Team is in its WORST Players, Not its Best Players...

I basically agree with your very last sentence and agree it's about depth, but will split hairs with you about worst then being in top 3-5. That may be true if worst joined a team ranked maybe below #40 or so, but if worst joined lets say our #22 ranked team they probably would be somewhere around 7-10, but again I'm just splitting hairs.

DT Manchester North
Solar Kennington
LP Dalglish
Lady Aztecs
LP Keegan
Fever RED
Tx Spirit

As you can see there are more teams you can argue are top 5 than actual slots to be top 5...

FBR is getting better for this group and will be very accurate I suspect end of Spring.

LP Barnes in top 10? Would not surprise me.

Rase
Dalglish
DTS
Then the others...

Lets cut to the chase, it will be determined next weekend how real DTS is and how good their goalie is. I don't think it's the goalie pitching shutouts. Defense has lots to do with it.

Dalglish vs. DTS for all the marbles in the bag and to see who will play Rase.
My paper $$$ is on Dalglish, too much fire power.

I never said the South keeper was the only reason for their shutouts... I said "defense/keeper"... Tpyically both are responsible for the shutouts. In TGPL with the keepers being so small and the goals so big in relation to them, obviously the defense plays a bigger role here.

DTS vs Dalglish next week will be a good match. That game could go either way. I guess we'll have to see how it plays out.
