Interesting since Plano West has not lost a game ... and they beat Marcus 2-0 head to head.
2 ties were Coppell and Highland Park ... obviously the site isn't terribly accurate.
Is this a published site or just inaccurate stats by a poster?

All rankings are subjective, so maybe whomever did the rankings scored Marcus higher because it's only loss came to someone that is second in the rankings and has only one tie, compared to Plano West that has a loss to someone that is lower then second and two ties. Does it really matter at this point of the season.

The "subjective" part makes sense, but won/loss records aren't subjective, and Plano West hasn't actually lost a game (per Kenshi Dave- and I believe him).

Well that is the issue, the rankings have them with a loss. Not sure what you mean by "hasn't actually loss" Maybe won/loss records are subjective.

Unlike D1 football we have playoffs and that is the final word? Leading up,to that is district records which can really only determine district rank. So anyway prognosticate on, but it's really not worth it? I guess as a senior parent I am less inclined to care till the end, yup senioritis!

Play-offs definitely are the final word ...
You are missing my point on the STATS above ... Plano West does not have any losses ... All wins and 2 ties.
The Win-loss-tie stats above are incorrect ... at least for Plano West.
Nothing really matters, but if someone is going to post this stuff for discussion, I'd rather they be accurate.

Just my opinion based on results to date:
1) Plano West 11-0-2 (tied HP & Coppell)
2) Coppell 11-0-3(tied PW)
3) Highland Park 10-0-3 (tied PW)
4) Southlake 14-1-0 (lost to McBoyd)
5) FM Marcus 11-1-1 (lost to PW)
All before district starts ... coaches trying different things ... I know SL had top forward out during their loss.
Ultimately the State Champion will have to be good, but they will also have to very lucky in the play-off.
PW finished 3rd in district last year and was certainly not in the top 10 when playoffs started last year.
I think there is a good chance that 1 or 2 2013 State Champs out of the above 5 teams.

I like accuracy as well, all of us who care will spot you that loss! Lol! You are certainly the front runner until proven otherwise.

Did some looking around, it appears the Dallas Morning News is the one with the incorrect information. They have them ranked first, but if you look in the schedule they have them with a loss.

Yes they do, but when would you take the DMN as the system of record for anything? It also kind of puts these rankings in perspective.
Did Georgetown beat PW or not?
I doubt it since the box score shows one of the PW ladies scored the two goals in the game.
Not affiliated with PW but give credit where credit is due.

Southlake lost to Boyd 1-0 in the finals of the Alison Horn tourney. We played Coppell in a scrimmage and didn't lose.

Kenshi Dave is correct - Plano did beat Georgetown 2-0. I took my info from DMN and will let DMN know of their inaccuracy.

DMN has some other errors: McKinney High did not tie, they had a game against Richardson cancelled due to weather a few weeks back. McKinney also has another win, they should be 8-0-0. McKinney also beat Frisco High in the finals of the warm up tournament, yet Frisco shows no losses on this list.
