No. Those forfeits are not added into the database. If I know a game was a forfeit, it does not go into the FBR.

I thought that was what I remembered. Well, not sure if this is what you had imputed, but the 2/16 games between FCD Premier vs Fever Red and the FCD Predator vs Odyssey games in TGPL were both forfiets and listed by TGPL as 3-0 scores.

Haha, I just thought I remembered him once saying that forfiets didn't count, but I wasnt sure. Not sure why he does it that way, I guess he only wants games that were actually played to count in his system for a more accurate ranking.

I would liken these rankings to a scaled down version of the FIFA rankings.. Everyone knows the FIFA rankings are shite and full of inaccuracies. The Elo ranking system is a much more truer version, and considered the gold standard for football rankings..

Of course, the ranking of U10 football in itself is the stuff of fantasy land....

Having said that, Bw gophers enjoys taking the time to do these, so that deserves an A for effort..

Folks always gotta have something to say. For the short time I been watchin these rankings, they seem to be pretty accurate.

The question I have is in that scenario if City beats the "higher" ranked team how does that effect the higher ranked teams ranking? That's where there could be some murkiness in the rankings. Not sure BW can account for all of those details though. All in all, still pretty accurate.

Nope nothing at all to do with the deleone hyphenation. Was always one of the most talented, athletic groups in the 04's then they got the coaching and its starting to pay off. Don't know anything about that city nonsense

Setting aside your assertion that ranking U10 football is, in itself, the stuff of fantasy, for the time being anyway, how much do you imagine an ELo ranking system and Gophers' FBR differ?

DT City 9v9 Deleon/Scott got beat by DTS like 5-0 in the first week I beleive... I think 3-4 of the girls in TGPL do not play on that team though it is still a mix of deleon's girls and scott and most of the girls from TGPL or so I heard.

Week one was a forfeit for FC Dallas Premier also v GSSC Blue. The parents looked like they put a pick up game together to fill the time.

Piper is no longer affiliated with the Sting organization. The team was tired of practicing on 1/4th of a playing field (without lines, also, I might add) and had proposed a simple solution Sting wasn't happy with. - I ditto this...Neil has been a great coach for my dd and this was a no brainer! Our loyalty is to the coach who has proven to have the best interest, in my opinion, of this team as a whole and the girls that play for him. My dd loves being a part of this team and I am happy that all the girls are still a team!

we followed our coach and I say great for you guys. If he is doing a great job then stick with him.
