They appear to be wider than the fields at Cox. If you look at the distance between the goals and sidelines, there's a discernible difference.FriscoSoccer05 wrote:Random question, Are the fields bigger at McInnish?tpitty wrote:no rumor, i stopped to watch most of that game. 5-0 and wasn't as close as the score.FriscoSoccer05 wrote:Rumor has it the DT Moreno string of ties ended today vs D'Feeters...

Actually I kind of think Cox #3 might be a slightly skinner field than Cox#2.banana kick wrote:They appear to be wider than the fields at Cox. Anyway, is it too early to think about Spring Season, in particular, with LA and Sting Scarfone playing 11v11 this fall, what is the chances 4 to 6 more teams jump to 11v11 and Nicole forms a 11v11 05 Division in the Spring?
Maybe she could also offer a small format say 6v6 League on Saturday afternoons to counter all the bad stuff that comes from playing 11v11... Just a thought...

Re: 05 Fall 2013 CFBAL Registered Teams
Sting does a free SDSL (sting development soccer league) for its academy teams that is 6v6 for extra touches, its a great idea for sting teams that want to get big field experience and also keep the small side touches. Best of both worlds for some.FriscoSoccer05 wrote:Actually I kind of think Cox #3 might be a slightly skinner field than Cox#2.banana kick wrote:They appear to be wider than the fields at Cox. I think that SDL has a small side league as well, 5v5 and 6v6. Would enjoy having nicole put one together if there was enough interest.

I agree, great games this weekend. There have been a couple of "oh those games happen" moments but otherwise games are all competitive and fun to watch. This is a great league and it is fantastic to have the great majority playing each other every weekend.homiethesoccerman wrote:Wow!!! Looks like a crazy week in the 05 platinum Division this week. Solar Pulp loses to LPH & Sting D. Sting North beats a really good D'feeters Team. It's really nice to see all the Top 05 teams Play each other. I guess it's true "Any Given Sunday".

Well Done 05's
AFC Black beat LFCA Carragher 3-1 ( I guess the Hyypia girls were busy)
Texans 06 tied Andromeda 0-0 (Moreno 05 must have had a game at the same time)
Liverpool Reina beat Sting Sanchez 1-0 (Reina missing a "guess" player or did Sanchez turn into Diaz?)

What's interesting about these scores? Other than maybe AFC over Carragher, nothing else really stands out.Anarchy wrote:Interesting results in Gold as well. Sounds more like a commentary on the perceived notion that platinum players are coming down to play with teams in the gold division elevating the status and strength of that particular team. Then again, I predicated a Rangers in the world series, so what the heck do I know?CoachBones23 wrote:I guess I am trying to understand why the AFC game is the biggest shock?
