a/c and big screen at hotel sounds better than 105 and sun beating down on me, but I'll be at soccer fields.
Just need to see if I can get my fellow 04 Poke fan to come cheer on the 05's instead of watching the Pokes.

Re: 05 Labor Day Tournament Accepted Teams, Flights & Schedule
I just heard from a friend that it's LP Hyypia versus Solar Royal in the finals. My DD isn't playing competitively this fall but has friends on both of these teams so we may come out to see this bad boy live! Good luck to both teams.TatonkaBurger wrote:And then there were 8...

LOL, I see what you did there. Yes, the Lady Aztecs had a very good showing this weekend.tpitty wrote:The Aztecs had a great tourney in the 05 bracket...congrats! This tourney was fun to watch.WESLEYCRUSHERS wrote:Solar over LP in the gold, and Sting Central over Kicks 06 in the silver.

That was a great weekend of soccer. Props to Plano/PYSA for putting on a great tournament. The scheduling wasn't always the best and there were some late-arriving refs on a couple of days, but overall I was impressed with how everything was run.
And the Gold bracket definitely lived up to the hype. There were some awesome games between a very competitive group of teams. It will be interesting to see BW's FBRs this week to see how everything falls out after a week of league play and the results of this tournament. That top-tier is looking pretty stacked.

I assume you're making reference to the Lady Aztec players that played for Solar Royal this weekend. Definitely made an impact on the outcome. Are they part of the Solar Royal's CFBAL team, or just guesting for this tourney?TatonkaBurger wrote:LOL, I see what you did there. I thought the two Solar teams were pretty even, but Royal really outshined their sister team in the h2h game. Guess we know who the top team is now, as long as the rosters stay consistent.
Definitely some great soccer being played at the '05 level!

I was wondering why Jamie (Aztecs Coach) was walking around in civilian clothing. Makes sense now.The.Joker wrote:I assume you're making reference to the Lady Aztec players that played for Solar Royal this weekend. Definitely made an impact on the outcome. Re: 05 Labor Day Tournament Accepted Teams, Flights & Schedule
She had girls on both Solar teams...and Sanchez had Diaz girls...lots of guest play going on. Hard to tell who would do what with their regular rosters, guess CFBSA will tell us that. Fun for the kids though, unless they sat and watched the guest players play. Either way, my kid had a blast.Lakedad wrote:I was wondering why Jamie (Aztecs Coach) was walking around in civilian clothing. I knew there was something about Sting Sanchez that looked unfamiliarly familiar.tpitty wrote:She had girls on both Solar teams...and Sanchez had Diaz girls...lots of guest play going on. Silly rabbit! You can change your roster every week if you want to with CFBAL.tpitty wrote:She had girls on both Solar teams...and Sanchez had Diaz girls...lots of guest play going on. Agreed, none at all. That's how the big machines work. We saw it with LP in the PrimeTime Fall Kickoff.Borussia wrote:Not really an issue, he is a Sting coach now, and his DD is a Sting player.
