I can't even figure out what you guys are talking about. If the question is "Are Rase 04 better than SRSA 03?" Then I didn't realize they had to be but I would take that game anytime. Beside RASE 04 has it's hands full with a FCD boys game and an unstoppable 04 solar red boys team coming up and SRSA should worry more about LP elite that a bunch of 04's. But just to give you guys something to choke on and to keep you posting. RASE has a 04 boys PLD trophy and SRSA does not.

Why would SRSA even want an 04 trophy?

RASE 04 and the current SRSA 03 roster would be an interesting matchup.

The current RASE team would probably make the top 5 in the 03 age group. Those games you talk of we're a long time ago, I believe. How many other 04 teams coaches had the opportunity to play and beat any of the top 10 03 teams? There's a reason for that.

One of the wins he refers to was a long time ago, so I went back the same amount of time. Apples to apples.

Ok... curiousity piqued my interest with this. They have lost 3 times in the last 2+years. Twice to boys and once to 02 girls. The girls team they lost to, I assume (Solar Gio) was ranked higher than #37.

So, I believe the question was, is RASE 04 at the same level SRSA 03 was during this time of Academy. Using the data we have at our disposal, I would tend to lean towards the answer of... whatever helps you sleep at night.

No I happen to think that most #1 ranked teams in each age group are of a similar level at U10.

The comparison between SRSA 03 and LP Rase 04 cannot be fully analyzed yet. SRSA was the most dominate team seen in NTX in a long time and then they took the show to the national stage. They dominated at Las Vegas and also had two of their players go to Surf Cup in San Diego and create a lot of buzz. LP Rase 04 has not done either of those things..yet. Being great in NTX and Oklahoma is one thing; being great on the National scene is quite another.

It is possible Rase can go win some national level tourneys and then there may be a discussion. ( they should definitely go play some top level national tournaments) Not the Oklahoma snoozefests.....

Until then, the title of best girls Academy team ever has to go to SRSA 03 ( no questions)

Nobody is saying RASE is/was better than SRSA blah blah blah. A couple of you have tried to create a dogpile when no such claim was made.

This was an absolute statement presented as fact. RASE has beaten top three 03 teams. So too has  FCD Premier 02 as described by mcik17. I am sure that the history books will be punctuated with similar stories in different age groups.

Guess we'll embrace the debate but really this is quite irrelevant...

The questions that should be asked are...Which teams are up and coming and might sneak in to D1 come Fall and which teams are falling behind and will be peeking through the window come next Fall?

I don't know how anyone who has seen the two teams play and who has any knowledge of the game would think LP would have a chance against 03 SRSA. Maybe if the two girls playing up in 02 did not show - maybe.

I would assume the two girls playing up would not show since they are no longer on the team.  Anybody who has knowledge of the game would know that  .  For the record I never said RASE 04 could beat them.  I said I would take the game anytime.  Nothing like a good butt kicking to teach you something and send you back to the practice field to work.  I will say from what I saw SRSA had and overall more physically talented team and RASE is better at holding possesion and scoring from a number of different positions.

Are we talking U10 Rase against U10 SRSA? If so the two superstars are totally relevant.

Who is going to rise to D1 and who is on the slide out?
What teams will be combining to make a top roster?

I am putting LP rednapp/Carrager as that up and coming team. With LP putting 5 teams in D1 possibly more.

Scotts looking good and if the rumors of the naked goods is true that can only help. Some of the better soccer being played in the 04's but needed more talent.

Sting seems to have the talent to put out one very good team or a handful of okay teams.

How's THE spirit players doing this season? They either need to combine the teams or pick up talent.

DTS is region locked but there is a odyssey that has some talent to poach.

FCD is a mess. The former Beardsley players should get out while they can. But FCD will drop a top name coach and poach like crazy and put out a solid D1 team. FYI beware of guys in stripe shirts floating around your team with promises of ECNL dreams.

Go- I would not begin to challenge your vast knowledge- I am sure you are right and those two girls will not play in tournaments and/or practice with their 03 team..
