HELP: Levels of Play in NTSSA
HELP: Levels of Play in NTSSA
Moving from South Texas.
Obviously, the levels of competitive youth soccer in North Texas differ from South Texas until Premier and ECNL.
Can someone give me a run down on the levels of play? I have looked on the NTSSA site as well as searching this site and been unsuccessful.
In STYSA, we play (in descending order of level of play):
ECNL
Premier League
State Classic League
Division I
Super 2
Division II
If someone could take a moment to map the NTSSA levels to those levels, if possible, it would be a big help in getting my kids placed appropriately.
Thanks!

Re: HELP: Levels of Play in NTSSA
ECNL
LHGCL D1
LHGCL D2
APL, PPL, LHGCL D3 - Separate but more or less equal from a competitive perspective. More depends on geographic preference

Re: HELP: Levels of Play in NTSSA
State Classic is about the same level as LHGCL D1
Division 1 is LHGCL D2 (some upper level D3)
Super 2 is in line with some D3, APL, and PPL
Division 2 is basically rec ball in ntx.
Not sure the age of your dd, but keep in mind that NTX starts 11v11 much younger than STX. So if your dd is playing U13 or younger you might consider playing her down a level until she get comfortable with the 11v11 format.

I have a u15 and a u16, so we are good on 11v11.
But, thank you very much.
