Re: 04 League Scores - 2/22 thru 2/23
Now for the record it was a tie against LFS white for scott and I don't care if joey himself was driving the double decker bus scott cannot tie LFS. Scott is headed to the top and if they are going to be on top then the expectation of performance will be there every week. Let's get it together guys. Unacceptable bad mr scott

Don't know who is breaking away and who isn't...didn't even see the game in question, but many would argue that the style LFS supposedly played is the ultimate sign of respect. Someone hit it on the head somewhere in this thread in stating that teams will have to learn how to adjust to that strategy, especially when the games count for real.

Wasn't talking about this particular game just historical data.

Ah c'mon, chill, relax, don't be a fan girl I'm just giving him respect for it.

Unfortunately, two girls from the white team were hurt this weekend (broken toe and hamstring injury). To cover these losses, white borrowed two players from the black team who play the same positions as the hurt girls. It was, by all accounts, a great game that was made a bit difficult by the wind. LFS did not park the bus or anything like that. LFS did, however, play great defense against a very talented and tough DT team. And our goalie had one of her best games to date. We even had a few scoring chances, but just weren't able to put it in the back of the net.
That's it. No drama. No intrigue. Just 10-year-old soccer where, on any given windy day, anything can happen. And on this particular day, the teams tied 0-0.

OK, one more response. I never said we didn't have enough players. We are, in fact, closer to 16 than 11. But when two girls injured in the same week, the bench does get a bit thin pretty quickly. That's why, in basically every sport, when a player goes down, they bring in a sub. Crazy, huh.
(Sorry, sorry, did I just introduce real world logic into this discussion. My bad.)
Really, I am touched by your concern for the team. Who knew that so many people cared so darn much about the team, the bench, their coach, their color, and (apparently) their mode of transportation (we aren't fancy enough for a bus, but wow, thanks for thinking so highly of us!).

Generally speaking it was a valid point...may have not been the shoe to fit your foot...but it was a valid point. BTW, sometimes its hard not to respond right?!

Not sure what REAL world your logic is from. Yes in every sport they bring in a sub but the crazy thing is they always seem to bring that sub in from the team not another team. Kind of like the lakers playing short so they just bring in a couple of studs from the clippers . You do realize select is coming right? The whole contract you can no longer bring in "subs" from other teams. So either the roster is thin and losing players made you short so you had to bring in players (ie. would have no subs) or you had plenty of players and you brought in help or the delicious 3rd option is a couple of players went down and you had plenty of "payers" but needed to bring in players to replace the ones you lost and didn't want to put the game in the hands of the "payers" you had left. Either way I still say it's scott's fault. A couple of players and a bus still shouldn't have cost them that game.
