'04 League Scores 4/5 thru 4/6

So if you lost 2-1 would we be having this conversation? And if the final meant nothing then why did even feel the need to "defend" your team?

Attack?  What. That's not an attack. It's a statement and it's true.  Just like everyone on the enquirer. Winning means something or you wouldn't be on this forum. Don't kid yourself. Now I get it development is key and possession soccer is what most try or at least want to do. No doubt  Jk does play possession soccer unless they play RASE.    Just making a point that scores mean something. And 2-1 vs a team way below you should bother you.  Next excuse?

Not sure what game you were watching or if you were even there, but fact was LFS GREY, NOT white, was struggling with FCD, they figured out playing keep away instead of moving the ball down the field was the only way to salvage a tight margin win instead of risking their defense from losing the ball to FCD top forward, c'mon, call a game like it was not what you imagined

OK...that must explain why the GK's stopped punting the ball (replacement goalie wasn't comfortable punting against a strong offense) and started to roll it out 10 minutes into the game. Or why LFS forwards turned down missed wide open shots. Or why a defender was in goal for half the game (replacement goalie due to injury) versus the starting goalie. I guess LFS needs to change their approach when facing a team 65 spots below them.

Oh, and have fun in PPL in fall when player sharing ends with select this fall

obviously you care about the score otherwise why bring up the excuses to the 2-1 scoreline. Doesn't matter what the score is you got the W. So no need to explain the score (that doesn't matter)

I agree. As much as we don't want to think winning isn't everything, thats the American way.. There is a thread post on general girls discussion by 4daluv (Funny) - "Whats Your favorite Post" may clear up something for all.

Hate to interrupt a good girlie-slap fight (o.k. maybe I don't), but does anyone have a score for FCD Central Tallal v Frisco Storm Tatunay? Only SDL score from Saturday that I'm still missing. Thanks!

Exactly, my friend. I'm not sure why I feel the need to continue with this dialogue, but I don't think anyone is making excuses in LFS camp. We know exactly what's going on and don't expect anyone from outside to approve or disapprove. I think Black, White, and Grey has proven they can score goals. I don't understand what all the fuss is about??

Nobody from LFS brought it up. It was brought up by others to stir the pot and create drama. People simply were responding with an explanation. And If I recall specifically tried to avoid the drawn out discussions. Once again, show up to LFS practices and I'll bet you nobody is talking about what the score was on the previous saturday. Nor are they worrying about what other teams are doing...well except for that Pulp team since 13 girls, a coach, 2 dogs, and a turtle have all gone there.

NC. I heard they coulda won but dropped the ball several times in the interest of development and decided since the score didn't matter they would just take the 1-0 loss

Soccerjunk must have been at the game. yes, as a parent, i do believe that LFS could have scored  a few more goals, but so could have FCD. one goal from LFS was scored from midfield on a big boot, that FCD keeper couldnt even reach.  Both coaches wanted possession, that is natural for any good coach to do.  So this wasn't reason for a 2-1 win.  LFS did switch keepers in the 2nd half, but there was punting going on the whole time by the GKs.  As for guess players..... No guess players for FCD, though aways accused by someone on here about that.... Go look at our roster.  We dont need any guess players. but there were definitely a few LFS black girls playing with the white team. But thats the beauty of this age, there arent contracts to keep them from doing so.  Bottom line, LFS won and was better.  As for FCD, its all about competing against top teams and getting better.  And that was done on Saturday by all girls from both teams.

Seasons almost over, time to start guess playing I guess.
