Why wouldn't you want to draw their group? Dont get better if your not getting challenged.  Should want to play the top teams. Wish we were playing in this one. And I dont see anyone being more physical than DTS...

RASE has and will get physical with the best of teams. They have pretty much seen it all. Don't think being physical is their "motto", more of a finesse game. My take

Without question they do not need to come back to playing 04 girls for seeding purposes. Everyone that deals with seeding already knows who the #1 seed will be. That was the way it was in the 03's last year and I think SRSA might have peaked their heads out one time in April to beat up on some 03's and then poof they up and vanished like a fart in the wind again. Truth be told the Top 5 or 6 don't really need to worry about too much at this point as long as there's not much turnover come signing day. You will hear that you have to play in the King Tut or the Puma Cup but if you are a top team there's really no reason to play. Teams that are fighting for a better seed need to play and play well. However if you have a years worth of results that say you deserve a top seed then you are most likely going to end up with a top seed.

On a different note, doesn't look like RASE will get much of a challenge in the 03 silver bracket in Denver. Some poor team from Pueblo is going to get a rude awakening on Friday I guess it will be a fun trip to do some zip lining and alpine sledding.

I think there might be a little home cooking in the Colorado tournament. The home clubs top 04 team was in gold (the bracket RASE was supposed to be in) so mysteriously RASE was put in silver and was unable to get switched. I hope the weather holds out and I hope the coach lets the girls loose and just ruin the silver bracket

Good luck to RASE this weekend.  We had a great time at this tournament with my BB's team last year.  Beautiful weather (though the locals were complaining about it being too hot at 85F), great fields, the backdrop while sitting on the sidelines is a bit better than the local fields too.

I'm from Denver and Aurora is not far from home...the weather should be fine up that way around this time. Let's just make sure GO99, you and other parents don't adopt the "when in Rome..." way of thinking and visit any medical shops while up that way... Don't need parents sleeping through games and spending all the trip money on concessions...

From what I hear about a vegas trip its coaches in NTX that you have to worry about doing the "when in rome" and not making games

The weather is nice, the scenery is beautiful with the backdrop of the mountains, and the white water rafting was fun, but the one thing I noticed is they kept their grass pretty tall on all of their fields. And don't you dare run over one of their Prairie Dogs or pull up past the white line at a stop light!

Since I'm new to the forum, can someone tell me how to move threads to the "RASE Discussion" folder? Honestly I'm amazed how much discussion takes place regarding them. Well I guess 3-4 teams would fit in this boat a well.

The same reason why more people are interested Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc.., than Hull City, Real Betis, etc.. Top teams always generate more interest, unless there is a big scandal to talk about.

Oh now I get it. This was a attempt at humor assuming some connection with a team. Sorry it's a bit wasted on me as I have no connection with the team in question. But it seems like a go to response from some on the forum to attack them so please feel free to continue if you can get forum "cred" from it.

I agree...let them go nuts. Make sure to let every opposing coach and interested party know as well. I hate it when tournament organizers pull this crap.

Actually, Go....I just had a better idea...
Since its out of town, take the opportunity to let the girls have some good old 10 yr old fun!  Let them have ice cream between games...let them swim in the hotel pool between games...let them eat fried food and a soda for lunch!  Plan activities in the evenings and don't worry about not getting the proper sleep to perform at a high level!  

You know...let them be kids for a trip.    They should be able to win silver if they are half-asleep, so take all the pressure off...I think you will find it will be a great team building and bonding experience.
