And genesis is not there (became fcde)...
And rush that was in d3 was llamas team and the rush I see asking for players is not?? I think they were the Plano team that may get some players from the other rush?? (Correct me if I am wrong).

On another note...Sting Garrett has quite a few changes/additions (right Seven?)...I know several of those girls and send best wishes to you.

Yes Dad, you are correct. Many new faces at Sting North. Only time and game play will tell , but we excited about the new additions.

It is my understanding that the Xpress 00 team has folded and that the majority of the team is going to an Independant tournament team only.

That would be a huge development. DTFW would jump back into D3 and FWFC would possibly get a D3 bye...

If not that, then it would open another spot in QT...almost time to revisit those QT looks...

Just curious. Why wouldn't that D2 spot go to Fever? Any precedent for this scenario? I skimmed through the LH rules and didn't see anything that addresses this situation. (But could be wrong). In my biased opinion, both DTFw and mustangs spence have already proven they can't stay in D2.

COPIED FROM LH RULES

Teams are invited back into LHGCL for the next soccer year (“Bye”) according to the playing format below. The spirit of a bye is to reward returning teams/players for their performance the prior year

THE QUESTION IS, DOES LH REWARD DTFW's PERFORMANCE FROM LAST YEAR OR FEVER'S PERFORMANCE FROM LAST YEAR?

I expect verbal gymnastics and they'll follow the money.

May not have had the exact scenario in play here (team getting promoted to a higher division folds and forfeits a bye), but if LHGCL treats this like similar recent cases of teams leaving/folding and forfeiting a bye, the relegated teams would be next in line before the next team in the lower division standings.

I would expect the bye to go to DTFW, and then Mustangs, before it went to Fever.

Agreed Intrinsic and BW. The order would be formerly relegated teams first. But we will have to wait and see what the mighty soccer dudes have to say.

It would be nice if LH would promote Fever to D2 as I think they could compete more favorably than DTFw. however, if the rules or past precedent say otherwise then so be it. The rules seem to be made up as we go, mostly benefitting the larger clubs.

That maybe the case in your opinion, but Fever didn't earn the promotion. The rules haven't changed and in this case it happens to be a large club in front of Fever. Would you want it to be different if that was your team ahead another?

Uh. DTFw nor mustangs didn't earn the "promotion" either. And I wouldn't exactly say DTFw is ahead of the D3 teams. Didn't they just lose to an 02 team recently? At any rate, it really doesn't matter. Rules (unwritten and all) are rules, right?

True Fever may not have "earned" the promotion, but DTFW did "earn" relegation?  The rules are what they are and it looks clear as to what will happen.   I will have to agree with KPowers that a Fever promotion would make for a more competitive environment.

DTFW earned a bye into D3 as did Mustangs and they will sit at the top of the D3 food chain. With that being said, the top team (DTFW as relegated) would move up or back to D3.

My real question is "do we have confirmation that Xpress is now defunct?" If they aren't then this whole conversation is moot.

And it is still ultimately up to the Power Dudes in the LH sky to determine who moves and who stays.
