'04 PPL Brackets & pick your winner?

Anyone care to take a stab at picking your winners for this weekend tourney?

How many divisions are there for PPL?  And how many teams are in each division?  Finally, do just the division winners make it or do they take a certain number of high pointers?

That's what I'm wondering. I think PYSA has changed things on the fly. I'm also not sure why they picked just the top (5?) finishers from those that did NOT make it into LHGCL to get automatic byes into PPL D1. Why not 10? Why not 0? In essence, the top losers got the automatic (since we're talking about teams that couldn't even make the top 30 in the area). I don't think that's such a bad thing but I can't figure out how PYSA made their decision given that LHGCL changed their format for QT advancement from week 1 to week 2. It seems to me that PYSA sort of made it up as they went.

So back to Fullride7's post, does anyone know how big the divisions will be in D1? Will it be a 20 team D1 like LHGCL for the first 6 months or first year? Just 10?

Of course these leagues change things on the fly. LH did this year compared to years past. I don't disagree that the five that got byes should maybe have played this weekend in the QT, but they decided to give what you say as the top losers the bye. That seems a little harsh to say those teams are the top losers. Maybe the coaches on those teams could get their teams together and congratulate each other on being the top losers and getting a bye. I am just glad my DD's team qualified week 1 of LH and not keep having to do these QT tournaments. If your DD's team did not make LH I promise you the sun will come up tomorrow.

Last year in PPL U11 there were 19 teams in D1 and 17 teams in D2

If they have 19 in D1 again and there are 5 byes, first and second in each bracket would make D1 and the rest D2 including the teams that will play in PPL but aren't participating in the QT

So, where do we go from here?

A, B, C & F

Brackets not decided:
D, E & G

Just told by our manager to be ready to play make up game either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Rescheduling games for 10-year-olds at 8:45pm, when earlier and weekend slots were available?

Now that's some ridiculous scheduling!
