Why dont they call pass back to the keeper

We had a game this weekend the forward and defender was going for a ball the defender knocked the forward off the ball and kicked it to the keeper who picked it up and punted it. How and why is that not a call but also you dont see it called very much. Another one the forward kicked the ball the defender put her foot up the ball went off her foot and the keeper caught it. It wasnt a deliberate kick or pass I think it would have been called at a college level.

If the ref doesn't not view the pass as deliberate than it's not a "pass back" so the second definitely wasn't. As for the first one....

Here's the problem. There is what you saw, and then there is what happened. It is hard to say what to call from a descriptive internet posting. But like was said before, it must be a purposeful pass back. Not a deflection, not a header, not a knee, but an intentional pass with the foot back to the keeper.

The ref has to judge the intent of the defender. If it is questionable at all, he isn't going to call it and give the opposing team a PK. When in doubt, don't make a call that could change the outcome of a game.

Pass backs are rarely called it seems. Not sure a ref wants to disect the intent of young kids. Also, a pass back infraction does not equal a PK. It is, or at least should be an indirect free kick. However, at one of my son's games recently, it was called and a PK was given. The coach had no idea it was wrong, but the GK's dad did. It was fun to watch.

PK not given in this instance but indirect free kick. Good points otherwise.

I'm not trying to fight with you goat. I'm trying to to get you to educate yourself, so you don't feel the need to come on here and bash refs or clog the forums with your posts that refer to refs.

You dont get it coach the refs are not calling it what good would it be if everyone on the sidelines know the rules but it is not called. You just want to fight and try to make us know it nothing parents look dumb so stop trying to stir up crap CAN I MAKE IT MORE CLEAR

I'll contribute briefly to the next 15 page keeper-ref fiasco thread, but only because I'm stuck in a business trip hotel bar in west Texas (why can't I be stuck in 'Orleans or Vegas? Much to their chagrin, EVERY time my keeper girls have had their head up their butts and picked up the ball off the foot of a defender it has been called. I don't recall a time that it hasn't. Okay back to my IPA and Kobe beef..
