Re: Have a seat...but not right there
i think if you must come to another teams side, do so behind the first row of parents and be quiet and watch and then no one cares...SteamingBean wrote:I have friends on almost every enemy team, so it's not unusual for us to be off to the side, either team's side, wishing a beer cart would drive by, talking college football or about how badly we all need vacations but we are stuck here instead.

It does cut down on parent coaching and certainly lessens rival-parent tension. LHGCL was that way at one time, can't remember why it changed.

In my expereince as they get older in general the parents comment less and less about the game.

GK Parent should get special privileges and a coach is one thing a keeper coach is something different.
A keeper coach? So are you saying your daughters keeper coach comes to the games and stands next to her? Or, are you saying that as a keeper's parent you should "be allowed" to stand by her and coach? Why not simply get her an earbud so you can communicate with her throughout the game? It would seem easier and you wouldn't stand out in a crowd so much.
I'm wondering how these GK's and for that matter any player gain confidence if mommy or daddy is always 10 yards away. As that pirate chap said, it's 50 yards....they'll survive.
