So listen up parents if you want to give you kids one of the greatest memories of their lives, and quite possibly a life lesson equivalent of storming the beach of Normandy that they can reflect on later in life when things get tough as proof that they can accomplish anything then by all means get them out there and play some soccer in sub freezing temperatures
Those memories are priceless for every 8, 9, or 10 year old. So stop being a bad parent and get them out there while you are over there drinking from your flask wrapped up in a sleeping bag yelling at them to be more aggressive.
Again I think we keep on missing my point. The Flask should only be hot coffee or coco. No liquor we know parents can behave properly sober now throw booze into the mix God help us all.
Beginning of the week the experts on the TV were saying there was a chance of snow and a blizzard or something like that. It's Texas folks Millions of people live North of us and don't die by going out an exercising in much colder temperatures. Heck Kids and 3 and 4 are outside for recess running around in much colder temps. I did say it is cold its supposed to be 50F for the high on Saturday, oh my goodness shut the field down.
I think it's much more insane playing 5 or 6 games over labor day weekend in 100 degree temperature with limited rest. Then being a little bundled up in the great white north of Texas. ( Wait am I mixing up the location) Just be a little smart and dress for the weather. Put on a hat, gloves, a coat and dress in layers. Jog up and down the sideline a bit. And may put on double socks.
Considering that Colorado is over run by Texans int the winter skiing, they must not be soccer parents because heck we should only be able to ski between the temperatures of 45 and 65. For some reason that probably wouldn't work....
Memories are what you make of them. You can have memories sitting around the fire in your house watching TV. Nobody is holding a gun to your head saying you have to go and play this weekend I think the kids play too many tournaments already. You could have talked to the coach and said coach it's way too cold for me and my girl and I am electing to waiting until the temperature is to my liking. We want to play in a tourney just when the weather is just right.

We were winning. My boy's team was in the Finals at 6:30 last night. It sucked, and all the while my wife and daughter were in 70 degree Phoenix.

That dude had a plan alright. All it needed was a valued rug inside to tie it all together.
