FBR 06
- I see Bellatores in UAL Platinum and then Bellatores BLACK in UAL U10 Silver; I just want to confirm these are indeed two seperate teams
- Dallas Texans 06 playing in UAL Silver A does anyone know who this coach is? This way I can identify them more easily in the list. Most teams from larger clubs have a color or coach name by them so it is easier to distinguish.
- NTFC playing in UAL U10 9V9 and NTFC 06 Black playing in PTCL I just want to confirm these are two seperate teams.
Hopefully in the next week I will be able to post an updated FBR for the 06 girls.

Re: FBR 06
Today I have entered all 06 teams. If you are playing in SDL please PM me scores each week since they are not posted.
I also entered all games played in league play so far for Spring and all tournament games since November.
It will take some time for this FBR to look right. I started from scratch!
Bwgophers who does the 05 FBR is helping me get started.

While competition and striving for to get better are an important part of sports, as coaches and parents we need to keep the girls wants ahead of our own.

I think the FBR's go past the 16wk timeframe for early Spring for that reason... just not enough winter games played. In looking at the 05 FBR, Gophers has results from mid Oct so that might be a good starting point. Otherwise, I agree.. should probably wait.
Thanks for stepping up to do this, no small task.

Well, hopefully there are no kids on this site looking at the FBR. For that matter, they shouldn't even know this site or FBR even exist. FBR is strictly for entertainment purposes only. You should be able to spot who the top teams are by their play on the field. You or your DD shouldn't need FBR for that.Ferenc Puskás wrote:Please do not start this back up for the 9 year-olds. Seriously, thanks for picking up the reigns on this, disregard the criticism of some, the FBR keeps things interesting around here

Please elaborate on what exactly about FBR is damaging the well-being of the players.

Re: FBR 06
People pay attention to FBR for one reason only... Over time, it has proven to be pretty darn good at predicting which teams will qualify for LHGCL at U11.
To that extent, FBR is a symptom of the illness, not the illness itself. The illness is that the NTX girls' soccer community places a tremendous amount of emphasis starting at 10 yrs old, on placing teams into a competitive league that uses a competitive qualifying tournament and a promotion/relegation system to determine who gets into, and eventually who gets to stay in the league, and in each division within that league. Then, starting at 11 yrs. old, NTX soccer places a tremendous amount of emphasis on winning a certain tournament that happens every May.
If you think there is too much emphasis on winning over player development in NTX, this is what is causing that. Not FBR or any other kind of ranking thread on any forum out there.
FBR, and all other ranking related threads could disappear today, and it wouldn't change thing one about the NTX soccer scene. It would be akin to taking an aspirin to temporarily alleviate the headache caused by a brain tumor.

Wait Ferenc; as a kid didn't you once use an alias to lie about your age so you could play up?
