Looks like Pulp is Playing 04's at TUT as well. Trying to make sense out of that move as well. IMO the 05 group in Tut is better top to bottom than the 04 group is. Why Run from the 05's now? Maybe they didn't want to chance losing that top spot for QT. Even saying that by some miracle they lost to an 05 team at TUT, thy still get no worse than a #2 seed at Qt. Correct me if I'm wrong! Has there ever been a 1 or 2 seed not Qualify for D1?

Anybody know when the TUT schedule will be out?

Lol. Pulp can play with that group of 04s so can sting black. Don't think the rest of the 05s can though.....bewwahahah the rest of the 05s are weak and all d-2 type teams compared to the top two......hehehaha sighhhh....

Interesting Comments on the Pulp & DTS Run and Hide technique. I just don't get it from a competition stand point. I get that they want to protect a particular Seed. As pointed out previously it really doesn't matter 1-5 will sleep walk through QT.

I do think sting west is way under ranked.

Oh well they are friendlies and the key thing is to get some games under your belt. Hopefully you don't get blown out but if you are in Platinum A or Platinum B you can at least take comfort in that you probably won't face as tough of competition next weekend as you do this one.

BWG said it best, every year a couple of the top teams don't play in these tournaments and people say they are ducking. One week later those teams have all qualified on the first weekend and it's all forgotten.

On DTS there is really not much to get. The team always plays Puma, it's closer to the families and they are fairly certain where they stand. GA has been the most successful academy to select coach in all of DFW the past 4+ years. The 02, 03, and 04 teams all played Puma, all skated into D1, and all finished top 2-3 the first year of select.

Any explanation as to why Plat A & B follow the FBR to the letter and the other brackets don't?

I agree with 05G!  Platinum makes sense...it justs ticks right on down the rankings page (the rankings that NO TD looks at, right?)

I also get the Gold divisions too.  They seem to follow a pattern of a traditional tourney where the winners from A play the winners from B so each bracket appear to be a good mix of quality teams spread across the upper to middle-ish of the rankings.  Frankly, I almost wish that Platinum was set up in the same way.  That would give some of the #7-11 teams an opportunity to "tune-up" on some of the #2-6 teams and vice-versa just to see how they have improved with adds/subtractions.

Now Silver and Bronze are another story altogether.  I can see that FCD had to find ways for their umpteen teams to get playing time in their own event but, as mentioned above, there are teams that seem to be playing beneath their "perceived" level and teams that are in above their heads.

For example:
Beneath:  Andro West and Sting West/West
Above:  Liverpool Barnes and Texans Red (who???)

That is just my little take.

Within Platinum, who has the most to lose this weekend? My money is on D'Feeters. They are top dog in bracket B. If they tie or lose, that would make for an interesting placement in LH tourney.

Would tend to agree. Not bc they are the top dog but bc the teams other than FCD are unproven at this level. Feet have been there and should take care of business. If not, perhaps a mystery guest moves up???

Don't think fcd premier will be a cakewalk for pulp either. If it's the new sting Hilton....don't count your chickens. Doubt it will be 3-0 cakewalk on many 04 teams. Also sorry to say the diluted 04 division is as strong or stronger than the 05 platinum so it will be a better tune up for pulp. Now go back to arguing about how tut will effect lh seeding...because it won't.

IMO the girls in the 04 division will be bigger and more physical than what the 05s typically see playing in their age group but the Pulp team has taken in the top 04s already and done very well. I don't think they'll have any problem with FCD or Sting. I also think that they'll be seeded #1 regardless what happens this weekend. LH has become so reliant on FBR lately that nothing short of a meltdown at Tut will change their minds.

Then why play King Tut? I think this year more than others FBR is not going to be a good representation of teams as they stand now. There has been a ton of movement especially in the 7-20 teams. The rain really put a damper on good numbers. Several of the teams of gained or lost game changer players (some more than others).

Didn't they "essentially" take the best kids off both teams and make the Sting A Team - and the rest and some new kids and make the Sting B team.  Wouldn't his be said "B" team?

I will disagree that the 04's are better at the Top. 1-5 at the 05 age group is just as good or better against their own age group as the 04's. You do have a point on 6-20 though. The 04's are better in that ranking group. I would reference you back to the Supercopa qualifier where Pulp played up against the 04's, and might I add all the top 04 teams. I believe they made it all the way to the Final against RASE Elite 04 where they were finally over matched. Then again what 04 team isn't over matched by RASE 04? They beat the lites of DT 04, GssC Blue, and Odessy 04. A tie against Feet Black 04 as well. Check it out.

Lol....I'm not fighting for the 04s as much as laughing at your stupidity. Every year there is 1-3 "super teams" that can play with the top teams in the next age group. These teams have a common thread...good coaching and great recruiting. Want to see which kids hit puberty at 10 and are larger and faster than the rest of the age group? Watch one of these teams. It's no slam against the coach..don't blame them. Happens every year. What's funny is the yoyos like yourself that assumes the whole group ie 05s are better than 04s.

Yes, you are correct. Pulp will run through this 04 field and go 4-0. The competition in the 05 Platinum A is much stiffer than this 04 competition will be. No doubt about it.

I didn't say that Slinky!!! I said the 05's relative to playing 05's is better 1-5 than the 04's were. The 04's are much deeper 6-20. Outside of RASE, what other team had any success against top 03 teams at u10? None did!! With the 05's there are 4 teams in the Top 5 that can say they have a win or a Tie against a Top 5 04 team. The proof is in the Results Goofy!!

I'll put my money on FBR. It will be well dialed in after this weekend. There will be 1 or 2 surprises up and down, just like every year, but I'll go out on the limb and predict that it will be very close to it's historical accuracy rate again this year.
